GTA VI Styled Minimap & HUD — Version 2.0
This mod brings a GTA VI-inspired interface overhaul to GTA V Legacy Edition, redesigning key HUD elements to give the game a more modern and visually refined look while keeping all original functionality intact.
What This Mod Includes:
GTA VI-Styled Minimap
The standard GTA V minimap has been completely replaced with a redesigned version inspired by the visual style of GTA VI. The shape, border, and overall appearance have been reworked to look cleaner and more contemporary, while remaining fully integrated with the existing HUD layout.
Redesigned HUD Elements
Several HUD elements have been modified to match the GTA VI-inspired design language, creating a more cohesive and polished interface experience throughout the game.
GTA VI-Inspired Health & Special Ability Bar
The Health and Special Ability indicators have been redesigned with an extended GTA VI-inspired appearance. The new bars are integrated into the overall HUD design while maintaining their original functionality.
The bars are context-sensitive and are not permanently displayed during normal gameplay. They appear dynamically when relevant to the player's current actions or situation.
The Health and Special Ability bars are displayed when the player:
* Takes damage
* Aims a weapon
* Is attacked
* Starts sprinting
This creates a more dynamic and immersive HUD while reducing unnecessary screen clutter. When the player stops performing the relevant action or the situation has ended, the HUD elements can disappear again, keeping the interface clean during normal exploration and free roam.
Waypoint Color Change
The waypoint indicator has been given a new color that better fits the redesigned minimap and HUD, improving visual consistency and making navigation easier to follow at a glance.
Repositioned Distance Text
The waypoint distance text has been moved to a higher position on screen, resulting in a cleaner layout and a more balanced overall appearance within the redesigned HUD.
Installation
OIV Installation
Installation is simple — open the included `.oiv` file directly with OpenIV. OpenIV will automatically launch the Package Installer.
Select your GTA V mods folder when prompted and click Install.
Script Files
The mod also includes additional files located inside the included `scripts` folder.
To install these files, open the mod's `scripts` folder and drag and drop all files from it into the `scripts` folder located in your GTA V Legacy main directory.
Your installation should look similar to:
`GTA V Legacy Main Directory\scripts\`
Place all files from the mod's included `scripts` folder directly into this location.
Important: Do not place the entire `scripts` folder inside another `scripts` folder. Copy the files contained inside the mod's `scripts` folder into your existing GTA V `scripts` folder.
Once both the OIV package and the script files have been installed, launch GTA V Legacy and the redesigned HUD should be active.

@WadesBakedCookies Hello bro, sorry for the delay in response. And yes bro, I really appreciate your courage and respect, can I tell you something? I forgot to tell you that if you install the Atlas Minimap Mod with Minimap Fix, which is mandatory, VicePoint may not work because VicePoint.ytd requires scaleform_generic.rpf yes or yes, so I do not recommend the Atlas Minimap Mod, as an alternative, I can recommend this one, which is more updated and does not require as much file: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/nxg-radar
@Trevor789FD how about the new update 6 hours ago? is it patched?
@Jdantz1994 already workin on that.👌🏼
@sbc17 because i dont see any mod that does that at wall which is surprising
Thank you! @sbc17
Btw, by manual installation, I mean providing the texture itself so people can directly import it into their existing .ytd without having to replace the entire .ytd file
Something similar to how other mods, such as Colored Radio, Weapons, Blip mods, etc handle it :)
Also, would it be possible to fix the other issues as well, particularly the blip issue and the minimap_mask? I managed to fix the minimap_mask issue for myself, but it would definitely be helpful if these were fixed for others too :)
And if I didn't explain the issues properly earlier, I can attach a few screenshots showcasing them :)
Thanks again for this amazing mod! I use this mod every time I mod my game 😊
@enmael nws, mate! I'm glad it helped 😄
hello, i like the mod, but i wanted to install the optional files. I installed the OIV's, in game the map roads etc didn't show up, and i didn't know which files were to back up before instalation, so my game opens but in loading screen it crashes
Seem to have an issue of the health bar doesnt decrease when im shot or hurt? so no idea when im going to die.
You should add a bar for armor and stamina.
It would be really great if you added the mod compatible with the Enhanced Edition.
@enmael if you have quantv installed you have to open the reshade window and open the quantv settings, theres an option called RaysV3. you need to change it to smooth rays or thin rays.
hope it helps:)
@sbc17 Can this be configured to show only the health bar? If so, does the health bar display during cutscenes? Also, can the health bar color be changed?
@sbc17 Amazing mod, I created the install video as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvKFytllLr4
@Poppa Jitt Official very nice man, thanks alot:)
@sbc17 You're welcome and keep up the good work.
enchanced?
Hi author, i would like to inform you that your mod really amazed me. since your mod doesnt support enhanced i went ahead and converted it to enhanced i would love to give u the file. also one issue with the mod is that when in a state of being persued by the cops the cops zone doesnt entirely fit in the minimap and also when getting damaged it looks like u dont get the red blood effect of when u get hit, thats all great mod.
great work, this looks really good
can you do an enhanced version
