Logging companies have already eliminated most of the forests around Los Santos, so all the more important to protect the few patches of trees that remain on the slopes of Mt. Chiliad and northern valleys of the Vinewood Hills. Forest rangers can now keep a sharp lookout from above to immediately call in any trace of forest fire smoke that they can make out through the smog on the horizon.
This map mod adds three fire towers across the map - one high on the flanks of Mt. Chiliad, one perched above Raton Canyon, and another above Galileo Observatory in the Vinewood Hills. The tower model is adapted from the Cayo Perico watch towers, and has been equipped with glass windows and a well-equipped interior for round-the-clock patrols. With static map collisions, proper long-distance LODs and distant lights, cleaned up vegetation, and updated ambient ped scenarios, these towers won't affect performance and fit right into the environment as if they were always a part of the game.
LML installation option is recommended. DLC pack is provided for those who insist. FiveM package also available, thanks to @medic4523 for configuring and testing the FiveM package.

for fivem we just stream the files ?
@jaylucas yes, there's already a FiveM resource included.
@TayMcKenzie thank you! It fits in nicely with the various forests mods. The Raton Canyon tower is below the treeline because they put such tall trees in there, but the other two are above tree line.
i only see 2 files stream rpf and maps metadata. don't see anything saying fivem , i streamed all of those and they work tho.
but I was hoping i could use it to build it in-game, using a script, but when i spawn the tower it doesn't have the collisions or the windows, how would i do to make it to work? if you know ofc.
@jaylucas use the FiveM download not the DLC download
@PNWParksFan this is so outstanding! Been wishing for this for a long long while. You exceed expectations as usual. Thank you and warm well wishes!
@PNWParksFan Really nice mod, fits in very well. However, it causes the game to infinitely load when the MP Maps are enabled, then crash with the ERR_MEM_MULTIALLOC_FREE error code - using the DLC version.
@WGotch07 can you please link to which gameconfig you are using?
@PNWParksFan https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/misc/24718-gameconfigxml-for-lml
Great work
@WGotch07 get into the dlc and rename the 3 ymaps on lodlights to <name>__DISABLED
@ReNNie Cheers Ren.
awesome! Do npcs spawn at these places like in the thumbnails? I cant seen to see anyone there.
@littlefilms scenario files are provided and automatically loaded in the LML version. In the DLC version you would have to install the scenarios manually. I suppose I should update the DLC download with some more specific instructions about that, I sort of forgot about the scenarios when creating the DLC pack option because I use LML and it loads them automatically.
@PNWParksFan ah, overlooked those, would be nice to have the scenarios loaded with the dlc
@ReNNie scenarios can't be loaded by DLC, they have to be manually installed into update.rpf, but I'll add an update next week with instructions for manually installing the scenarios. Hopefully I can also figure out the LOD lights issue by then.
Thanks!
good stuff bro
Great stuff! Love the game Firewatch, now I get my own towers!
Nice look out tower but how did you get the top roof shaped like that?, i thought no triangles were possible.
