In GTA V to simulate a real-world camera, a lens-distortion is performed on the image by using a small pixel shader. It does not only distorts the image, it also introduces small chromatic aberrations on the edges of the frame, by slightly distorting more the red channel compared to the green and blue ones.
Personally I hate this post effect. So I decided to create this MOD - now you can enjoy pure, without noise and no stretched picture.
Screenshots taken in 1080p with High options without any other gfx mods. GIF Comparison
Install instructions: extract all *.xml files from downloaded *.zip archive to
Grand Theft Auto V \ mods \ update \ update.rpf / common / data / timecycle (required software: OpenIV)
Changelog:
Fixed compatibility with the latest patch.
*** Works fine with the latest v1.54 GTA V patch ***
I will be re-upload MOD to support future game versions.
Thank you! :)

@Kwebbl What's the update for?
@Kwebbl I wish I could see the difference, I don't notice anything
@NaijaMango Don't know, you need to ask the Author
@Sm00thOps It's a minor change. It removes this RGB split effect on the corners of the screen and the fisheye effect that's at the corner too. It's not really noticeable at most times but I guess people don't like it. I use this too as I don't like it either
@Kwebbl Sorry, I saw something by your name and just assumed you were the author. Didn't read it.
@VenJam1n So the question still stands, what's the update?
@NaijaMango No worries haha
@dhonielakers , @Kwebbl THX!
@Burgerplayer , @Sm00thOps http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/126260
@NaijaMango When new upd has out, there are 20+ lines was deleted and around 150+ was added by R*. I just renovate compatibility of the latest patch from R*.
@VenJam1n
Hey I was wondering if this mod still works with Doomsday update? I would like to try this mod out, it looks good!
@VenJam1n brilliant mod,but there is much more important thing,its antialiasing in this game,if you dont use at leats 2x msaa game looks horrible,pixelated edges ,Flickering Shadows, Jagged Edges Problem..is there any chance to fix that without turning on msaa in game?? because it drops fps :( thanks
@Yze i want it too, if u find could u tell me? really hate the aliasing in this game
@Mischa ok
Does this work with NaturalVision?
@VenJam1n
This might be in the wrong section. Shouldn't this be misc?
is this compatible with NaturalVision remastered?
is it compatible with VisualV?
Ive installed it with openIV into a mod folder and now my game crashes every time right after launcher
awe hell yeah
doesn't work for me, I still have those vertical lights, even after putting timecycle files everywhere they been, can you update mod or help me?
@VenJam1n Any chance you can tell us which lines to change manually for those people who already have modified timeycles? Cheers.
@VenJam1n Add Changelog in the description
Impressive!
