Suppressors Enhanced

In the vanilla game, suppressors provide limited stealth benefits. Suppressors Enhanced turns them into functional equipment with witness-aware stealth, heat buildup, glowing metal, critical smoke, wear, and dramatic failure effects.

Fire carefully, and distant NPCs will have a harder time identifying your shots. Fire too rapidly and the suppressor will heat up, gradually glow red-orange from its center, produce increasingly heavy smoke, and eventually fail with sparks and a metallic pop.

Current version: 1.2.1

Features

  • Witness-aware stealth for supported suppressed weapons
  • Supports profiled vanilla and Ammu-Nation suppressors
  • NPCs can still notice gunfire that is close, visible, impact-adjacent, or repeatedly fired
  • Weapon-specific heating, cooling, durability, and failure
  • Gradual heat glow spreading outward from the suppressor's center
  • Increasingly dramatic smoke as the suppressor approaches critical temperature
  • Spark burst and metallic pop when an overheated suppressor fails
  • Broken suppressors must be replaced
  • Optional unbreakable mode
  • Optional temperature display for testing
  • Supports both GTA V Enhanced and GTA V Legacy
  • Separate, edition-safe heat resources prevent incompatible assets from being loaded
  • No unnecessary gameplay notifications

Different weapons behave differently. A pistol suppressor does not build heat or wear at the same rate as a rifle, machine gun, or sniper suppressor. Slow, careful shooting gives the suppressor time to cool, while sustained automatic fire can quickly push it toward failure.

Don't Want Suppressors to Break?

Turn off Suppressor wear and breakage in the settings.

Suppressors will become unbreakable while all other features—including stealth, heating, cooling, glow, and smoke—continue working.

Choose the Correct Edition

The download contains separate packages for GTA V Enhanced and GTA V Legacy. Choose only the package matching your game.

  • Enhanced: package names containing Enhanced
  • Legacy: package names containing Legacy

Do not install both editions. Do not install the ALLIN1 and standalone variants at the same time.

Installation

Two installation methods are included. Choose only one.

Recommended: ALLIN1 Launcher

  1. Extract the downloaded release.
  2. Choose the ALLIN1 package matching your game:
    • Suppressors-Enhanced-ALLIN1-Enhanced-1.2.1.zip
    • Suppressors-Enhanced-ALLIN1-Legacy-1.2.1.zip

  3. Extract the selected ALLIN1 package.
  4. Open the ALLIN1 launcher and select Packages.
  5. Choose Import & install package.
  6. Select the extracted mod.toml.
  7. Apply your settings and start Story Mode.

ALLIN1 provides the easiest installation, dependency checking, configuration, disabling, updating, and uninstall experience.

Without ALLIN1

  1. Install ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet 3.
  2. Install an archive loader:
    • Enhanced: OpenRPF or RageOpenV
    • Legacy: OpenIV.asi or RageOpenV

  3. Open the standalone package matching your game:
    • Suppressors-Enhanced-Standalone-Enhanced-1.2.1.oiv
    • Suppressors-Enhanced-Standalone-Legacy-1.2.1.oiv

  4. Use a compatible OIV installer, such as CodeWalker's OIV Package Installer.
  5. Select the correct GTA V installation folder and install the package.
  6. Launch Story Mode.

The standalone version creates scripts/RealisticSuppressors/RealisticSuppressors.ini on first launch. Edit this file to change settings, then restart Story Mode or reload ScriptHookVDotNet scripts.

Requirements

  • GTA V Enhanced or GTA V Legacy for PC
  • Story Mode
  • ScriptHookV
  • ScriptHookVDotNet 3
  • Enhanced: OpenRPF or RageOpenV
  • Legacy: OpenIV.asi or RageOpenV
  • ALLIN1 is recommended but optional

Diagnostics and Support

Temperature Debug and verbose logging are disabled by default. Normal startup, compatibility, suppressor failure, warning, and error records remain enabled to help diagnose installation problems.

The support log can be found at:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\RealisticSuppressors\RealisticSuppressors.log
