Hey there, was trying to find a mod that would randomize state plates, couldnt figure out how to do it on my own lol
Im having an issue where its only loading up 4 plates however... and when i try to open the newly replaced carcols.ytd folder im getting an error, "Unable to open file, Errorcode: :PlrInvalidFile

Omg i just figured it out.... seeing the code in carcols i knew you could just copy paste, repeat for all 50 states, but thats not telling the game to choose the new files youve added to put them on vehicles, and i couldnt figure out where the probability calculator per car was... until i looked one file underneath hahahha in carvariations. Thats where you can manually change what car gets what plate through carcols and then through your vehshare.ytd file
This is gonna be alooooot of code but i'll get there lol gonna make my own calculator heading from 50% californa to different probabilities as you get further away and copy that to every vehicle make. omg this is gonna take forever lol
Unless you have already solved this, because the file didnt work for me :/ it still only changed 4 licence plates

@DrFuzzNupps you don't need to make complicate calculations as the % can be over 100 % without issues. In my game for a realistic spawn ratio I have standard California plates 80%, Special California 5%, Nevada and Arizona 5%, Oregon and Baja California 3% and all the other states 1%. I didn't provide the carvariations as for each person spawn rates may vary according to own tastes so yes, it's a long work to edit each car to spawn them intraffic. But the result is worth doing it :-)

Ah yes, I did some trial and error last night with the carvariations code and figured that out, have cali spawning at 75% closer states at 15% further states at 8% and very eastern states at 2%
Im having an issue tho... all plates spawn with 8 characters as default, Ive been searching to try to figure out how to make them all spawn with just 6 as default but im not having any luck. I thought possibly changing the value here would have an effect but i see none:

@DrFuzzNupps Read the "Disclamer" in description about the 8 characters spawn, I explaned it. We need a script to spawn correctly all the states, but it doesn't exist yet. There's one only for California, but then all plates will spawn with 7 characters so it's pretty useless for this pack

Ok so this mod, License Plate Changer by leftas, has workded. Now my game spawns in all 50 states with only 6 characters!!! (So far only on the Buffallo since thats all i have set up right now)

so how exactly do i see the plates i installed it 5 times now and followed the read me for the replace not add on because i want the plate to stay

@satyricon84 I have checked several times but the Wyoming plate in 1.2 is still the old one.
