Sorry to bother. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but whenever I add peds to the relevant folders to convert, the converted folder only contains two files (.ydd and .ytd) in addition to the converted yft and ymt files outside of the folder.
Also when I download add ped mods, they usually don't come with a folder, just ydd/yft/ymt/ytd files. Is there something I should be doing to create that folder before converting them?
Apologies, I'm very new to modding GTAV

@RetroSqueeze you must extract the files from the YTD and YDD of the add on ped using codewalker. Copy those files and the yft to the relevant folder.

@InfiniteQuestion Thanks so much for clearing that up. After troubleshooting, I got it to work! Thanks so much!

@InfiniteQuestion I do have one more question if that's okay. All of the models work great on Michael & Trevor, but the legs go weird whenever I put a model on Franklin. I've tried putting the same models on different characters, but Only Franklin has this weird issue.

@RetroSqueeze That is strange. I know the parachute messes up Franklin's model but not Michael's. I have yet to find out why.

@InfiniteQuestion I guess I'll have to mess around and see what I can do.
Oh, another question I have. Is there a way to make the ped characters have facial expressions using this mod? It's fine if that's not the case, but it would be cool to have their faces move in cutscenes.

@RetroSqueeze Not any way to automatically do it, not that I'm aware of. The character would need to be made that way in blender.

can we export ydd and ytd xmls using openIV?

@ib_123 codewalker must be used

@InfiniteQuestion Thanks

I've been having issues. So far, i've extracted the .ydds and .ytds into the .xmls and folders with CodeWalker, and placing them into the streamed folder, then the .yft into the player_two folder. But everytime i run the tool, it's asking for .yft.xml files in the subfolders exported by CodeWalker, despite CodeWalker not providing these. I've tried to export the .yft that was in the player_two folder into an xml and placing them in the subfolders, then i tried to do it again but with the file renamed, but nothing is working. I'm assuming i'm doing something wrong since i'm sort of new to modding.

@HalloweenTheBoi The streamed folder is only there if you want to reverse the process. You only need the extracted xmls and yft in a folder then that folder is placed inside either Player_One Two or Zero. So inside a folder will be your ydd.xml, ytd.xml, yft file, and the folders for textures. Place this folder inside one of the Player choices then run. You can take that folder and place them in the streamed folder to reconvert if you want but is advanced and not needed for simple player replace.

Use the included dlcpack, you can delete all files in the streamed rpf and copy over the folders for the Player you are using out of the Blank Template folder. Inside those folders is where you copy the new xmls to, and the yft and ymt in the streamed rpf above. You do not need all three players unless you want to replace all three. Each time a new ped is replaced, the Blank Template must be reset just in case.

When i run the tool now, it successfully converts the .ydd, not strangely not the .ytd's as seen in the tutorial video, .ytd's for the most important models are strangely absent. Only a glow.ytd.xml is seen. In game, Trevor is severely deformed and glitchy. I saw your video and put every .dds file in the ped's folder of the same name, i put the .yft and exported xmls [.ytd and .ydd] files outside of the folder. These are all in a numbered folder in "player_two" before i ran it. If this helps, the add-on ped i'm using is streamed. This tool is awesome, it's just me being stupid is all.

@InfiniteQuestion I also forgot to mention, when the tool was ran, alongside the converted xmls, were subfolders with some of the .dds files. other ones like the uppr and lowr are blank, but the head contains "!.dds" and "!_-_copy.dds" hope this helps.

@InfiniteQuestion Okay, so i tried it with a non-streamed ped, and got way better results with the video that you made. however, michael looks a bit cursed, with a weird texture on his head and hands, as only his head and hands are visible with the weird texture. I did everything right i believe.

@HalloweenTheBoi Sorry this all depends on what model it is. If the model follows rockstar names, which most do, then this will work. But if the model has extra unique names, like that Raven model, this this wont work without a little extra work. Most cases ive been able to include simple rename fixes, but some peds are just too far gone. If you want to come to my discord, i can further look into the ped and either fix my script to include this ped or straight up just manually fix it.

@Barnaby20 1/63 security vendor flagged this file as malicious. This isn't a Trojan, it is a Python program. This fille has been scanned already and is virus free.

@Barnaby20 You don't understand Virus Total or false positives. The exe is not the program and it's funny you think it is.

@InfiniteQuestion Sorry for the stupid question, but will this tool allow me to swap Trevor or Franklin to any addon ped I install?

@Kingpin_101 Yes that is exactly the purpose of this mod. For the most part it should be simple steps, but some peds here have bad file names that need a little managing. If you have any troubles ill be more than happy to help on my discord.
