Welcome to Peds Pain & Death Sounds Improvements [PP&DSI]
I never liked the death sounds for pedestrians in GTA V, I even know some of them by heart. In previous games like Max Payne 3 or Red Dead Redemption 1 they were more realistic, so I decided to create this mod that adds new screams, pain sounds, and more from other games like Max Payne 3, Mortal Kombat, Ready or Not, Battlefield, etc.
Features:
- New death screams and pain sounds for pedestrians
- Sounds taken from games like Max Payne 3, Mortal Kombat, Ready or Not, Battlefield and more
- Easy .OIV setup installer
- Manual installation also included
Installation (OIV Setup, recommended):
1. Extract the .ZIP file to your desktop
2. Open OpenIV and go to Tools > Package Installer
3. Select the PP&DSI .oiv file and click Install
4. Enjoy the mod
Manual installation:
1. Extract the mod folder to your desktop
2. Open OpenIV (remember to have Edit Mode enabled)
3. Go to mods/x64/audio/sfx/
4. Open the PAIN.RPF folder of the mod and drag the .awc files into the GTA 5 PAIN.RPF in OpenIV
5. Exit the PAIN.RPF in OpenIV and open S.MISC.RPF
6. Open the S.MISC.RPF folder of the mod and drag the .awc files into the GTA 5 S.MISC.RPF folder in OpenIV
7. Enjoy the mod
Changelog (1.8):
- The volume of some headshot sounds has been adjusted so they sound lower, bringing them in line with the rest of the death sounds
- Improved male fallscreams
If you want custom headshot sounds too, PP&DSI works together with Headshot Sounds Mod [H.S.M], which you can find on my profile.

@Ali Osama I think those mods over there only change the death screams [just the ones in the S_MISC.RPF folder], so the ones in PAIN.RPF would still need to be changed, In my mod, I replaced all the missing ones in both S_MISC.RPF and PAIN.RPF, which is where all the ped's death screams and pain sounds are located.

My game doesn't have the "S.MISC.RPF" file in either OpenIV or the base files... What do I do?
@Mailei Just add it to Mods, although that's strange because it should already be there
@Hernancho674I already created the folder, followed all the steps, but still nothing. The game sounds are still the vanilla ones. Sorry if this comment was posted twice, I wrote this before but apparently it wasn't sent.
@Mailei rename S.MISC.RPF to S_MISC.RPF, that should work
remember to add the PAIN.RPF files as well
@Hernancho674 Yup, all done... But I'm still stuck on vanilla sounds.
@Mailei Check to make sure the path where you placed the .RPF files is correct, it should be mods\x64\audio\sfx

This is way better than the original sounds
@Starfox1993 For now, they're the same, but I'm working on a new update that will improve the mod's pain sounds.
