One thing I noticed while playing GTA V is that most vehicle windows are almost entirely transparent, allowing you to see through them from even far away.
I made this mod to fix that, now making car windows darker, & more realistic.
Changelog:
-1.0: Release
-1.1: Added manual install.
-1.2: Added Optionals, Fixed installation instructions.
-1.2.1: Removed unused textures which may cause FPS drop. Should have no performance impact now.
- 1.3.0:
Added OIV install for newer users.
Fixed installation instructions (again)
Installation:
mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks > patch2023_02
mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks > patchday3ng
mods > x64e.rpf > levels > gta5 > vehicles.rpf
(ALTHOUGH ONLY ONE FILE LOCATION MAY BE REQUIRED, DOING ALL 3 ARE RECOMMENDED TO ENSURE IT AFFECTS VEHICLES.)
Compatibility:
-Should work with any vehicle that uses vehshare.ytd.
-May not work with certain addon vehicles. (Untested)

Love this mod sm been waiting for something like this for years! It does conflict with most license plate addons like UnitedPlates or ExpandedLicensePlates but it can be fixed by manually replacing the original window texture in UnitedPlates dlc.rpf with yours. Maybe you could include a manual installation for others who want to do this? 10/10

works great! But I think in some cars, the headlights got darker too..can you do something about that?
@dustyblues Oops, I might've put the dark overlay over the headlight glass texture too. I'll fix it in the next update

how to uninstall with oiv installer?
Yo, this is a completely unrelated question, but for https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/crawl-injury could u rewrite the script so that as soon the enter writhe they get disarmed, so that the crawling actually works, u could always just make a separate script as like an addon, anyways nice work on this mod!!!
