INSTALL
- Download the original LS Life mod and put its contents in your scripts folder.
- Drop this package's LSlife.dll and LSlife.ini into the scripts folder and overwrite the existing files.
REQUIREMENTS
RECOMMENDED (OPTIONAL) MODS
- Replay Hotkey Disabler - frees up keys that clash with LS Life's default hotkeys, so your stash car and Rockstar Editor stop fighting each other.
- No Kicking - replaces standing kicks with punches, or melee attacks when using melee weapons, for a rougher, more straightforward fighting style.
- More Gore - makes shootouts and fist fights more intense by making fights last longer and adding health loss over time if you don't heal yourself, giving combat more stakes.

Bugs fixed:
- Dealers now shoot back and back you up against non-police attackers instead of fleeing shootouts.
- Dealers no longer print money from thin air - new hires start with empty pockets and only sell what you give them.
- Drugs and rival drops set to false in LSlife.ini are now properly removed from the game.
- A batch of other .ini toggles that ignored false now work (rival manager, cooldowns, patrol/escalation caps, witness heat, stash/dealer markers, arrest and death inventory wipes, bag pickups, stash loads, drop offers, orders).
- "Stop for player" actually parks the dealer - no more secret offline sales.
- Dead dealers are removed from your crew with their blips, drop nothing when broke, and can no longer be talked to, resurrected, or paid.
- Dealer menu stock labels now show your stock vs the dealer's, with matching colors on gram and ounce sliders.
- Stash cars can be un-stashed with the same key (must be empty first), switching cars moves the contents over, destroyed stash cars stay destroyed with contents lost, and ghost map blips are gone.
New features:
- Dealer death drop (toggleable in LSlife.ini, on by default) - a dead hired dealer drops his drugs and cash as a floor package with a 10-50% skim for you to recover.
- Stash car damage persistence (toggleable in LSlife.ini, on by default) - dents stay until you repair the car.

V1.6 is out - bug-fix overhaul + 2 new features. Dealers shoot back now, "stop" actually stops them (no more mystery income or teleporting), dead dealers drop a recoverable package with a 10-50% skim, stash cars can be un-stashed and keep their dents (both toggleable in the .ini), and a whole batch of .ini toggles that ignored "false" now work. Clean install recommended: overwrite LSlife.dll + LSlife.ini, keep your saves. Report bugs with your SHVDN nightly version and what you were doing when it happened.
can u also make the areas work with LCPP
@8779 Hi, this version is just a port to make the original crash fix work on Legacy - I didn't change how the areas work, so LCPP works the same way as it does on the original mod.
It was only approved as a Legacy port, so I can't really add new stuff like that or it would probably get rejected. I also don't use LCPP myself so I wouldn't be able to test it properly.
So LCPP support would really need to come from the original mod.

Yoo, it`s good to be back to LS Life after ater some time but I got some bugs. Any dealer I hire keeps changing his model to a naked cult follower (the ID of the dealer from Dealers xml keeps changing to "0") after I load the game. The dealer is quite unresponsive, he doesn`t shoot at any enemies attacking me. Also, I didn`t want to have almost 50 drugs so I made most of them "false" in the settings but they are still present. If I kill a rival dealer he has each type of drug, not only the ones I left "true" in the settings. Any idea what might cause these bugs?

@don_pedro I've found and fixed those issues, I'll be uploading a new version of the mod soon with those fixes and some other bugs fixed too! It might take a bit for the moderators to check and approve the file though.

this was a pretty big bug-fix update all at once, so something might’ve gone unnoticed. if you run into any other issues while testing it, please let me know. thanks again for finding and reporting these bugs, it really helped me track down issues i wasn’t aware of!

@ybrMCZ I`ve tested the new version, the dealers are agressive towards enemies but they still keep changing the model :/
@don_pedro Thanks for testing it again. Just to make sure, when you tested the new version, did you fully reinstall LS Life, including deleting the old LS Life files/save files, or did you just overwrite the old DLL with the new one?
If you already did a full reinstall and the dealers are still changing to the naked cult model, let me know and I’ll look into it further. You can also send me your LSLife_Dealers.xml so I can check what’s being saved there

@ybrMCZ yup, I`ve reinstalled the whole mod and replaced the dll and ini files with the new ones. I`ve recruited 3 Families members via the hotkey and reloaded the game. All 3 changed their models, I`ve checked the Dealres xml file and now instead having hash "0" they have "Acult01AMM". Changed them manually to Fam models, loaded the game and again the naked guys. Where can I send you the my Dealers xml ?
