Modern Weapon Sounds aims to improve GTA V's combat related soundscape by replacing the outdated, out of touch, low quality sounds with processed sounds from the games: Squad, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (JSRS Mod), and Insurgency: Sandstorm. All sounds have been heavily processed to work with GTA V's sound engine and provide a uniquely realistic soundscape.
!!! SFX VOLUME SHOULD BE MAXED OUT IN SETTINGS, ADJUST VOLUME WITH SYSTEM !!!
Installation
Make sure to open the instructions and install the correct .oiv to avoid any errors with installation.

1.1: Added Automatic Installer, Added FiveM Compatibility, Changed sounds of the: AKs, APPistol, Pistol50, and Heavy Pistol, Added (WIP) Reports/Echoes.
1.2: Improved all sounds by improving the echo both distance and near. Improved quality of distant sounds, fixed missing advanced rifle sound.
1.3: Added new reports, and sounds for all weapons. All changes in video (currently making it). Fixed no audio for the advanced rifle.
1.3.1.: Fixed OIV installation errors.

can you make it into a weapons_players file? love the sounds but cant open fivem with them. would love to be able to use them

Hi,
Is this only for Legacy? I'm using Enhanced and I'm using IC 1.8, I tried installing 1.oiv, game is crashing for me.6 maj 2026 -
@Nick4142 i havent changed any sounds so that’s weird. I did notice that rifle distant sounds are not working as they used to. I’m updating the sounds this is just a temp fix.

@Poorsoul44 just a suggestion, but for the rifle sounds-specifically the carbine and assault rifle/compact rifle- the sounds from this video are pretty nice. from around 3:50 to 5:11 they shoot different rifles.
