Every vehicle carries a real fuel tank. It empties as you drive, and it is still empty when you come back to that car tomorrow.
Refuelling is not a menu. Walk to the pump, take the nozzle — it goes in your hand and the hose comes with you. Walk round to that model's filler, fill up, walk the nozzle back and hang it up. Walk too far and the hose pulls it out of your hands.
Runs on Legacy and Enhanced from one build.

There is no "3.9" to download. The Enhanced fork reports 3.9.0.0 but is released as v1.1.x. To see what you have: right-click ScriptHookVDotNet3.dll, Properties, Details.
Nothing else is needed. ⚠️ Remove any other fuel mod first.
💾 INSTALLING
Copy the scripts folder from the zip into your GTA V folder. You end up with Fumes.dll, Fumes.ini and a Fumes folder inside scripts. The Fumes\icons folder is the HUD's pictures — keep it.
To uninstall, delete those. Nothing else is written and nothing in the game's files is touched.

- 🥤 Siphon fuel out of any car with a jerry can, or fill the can at a pump.
- 🔥 A full can does not stop it. The overflow pools at your feet, and it ignites.
- ⛽ Fuel grades — Regular, Plus, Premium. The grade stays in the tank. A card at the pump shows what each costs there.
- 🚛 Diesel for trucks, buses, tractors and the fire engine. Costs more, goes further.
- 🏍️ Bikes get a bike's tank — about seventeen dollars to fill, same range as a car.
- 🔌 Electric vehicles are left alone entirely. No tank, no gauge, no fuel burned.
- 🚗 Traffic pulls into forecourts when it is low and already nearby.
- 📟 The gauge sloshes with speed, chimes on reserve, and hides with the game's HUD.
- 🗺️ Twenty-five stations on the map, one legend entry between them.

@Gta5gamer__ get a jerry can from a fuel station laying about or Ammu-Nation and select it like a weapon, then
walk up to any car's fuel cap - E pours the can in, Q siphons fuel out. Take from
one car, pour into another.
Heads up, a bug in 0.1.5 empties the can so it looks broken. 0.1.6 fixes it and
is up shortly.

I'm not sure what's going on but the latest nightly version is still not working for me. If I use the enhanced version, that works but it also conflicts with alot of script mods
@spitmux Thanks bro, after installing version 1.6 I started noticing a bug where every timer I press e to select the fuel type and start pumping, a jerry can or fire extinguisher appears on the character's hand, the same hand that is holding the nozzle and it disappears after refuelling and returning the nozzle. I'm not sure if it's a conflict with another mod or a bug with version 1.6
@Van_Zandt which nightly number, and Legacy or Enhanced? Check what
scripts\ScriptHookVDotNet.log says about Fumes - if it isn't mentioned at all it
never loaded, and that's a Script Hook thing rather than the mod. Paste the line
and I'll sort it.
@Gta5gamer__ good spot, that's a real bug and it's mine - not a conflict, though
another mod is probably what sets it off. The nozzle sits in his hand by
equipping a jerry can and hiding it, and I was only re-hiding it while you carry
the nozzle, not during the grade menu or the fill. So anything that reselects a
weapon in that window leaves it showing. Fixed for the next update, cheers :)
@spitmux I'm using the nightly version of scripthookdotnet that uses 3.7.0.189, that was released on August 5th (latest release)
This is the error it gives:
"System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'ScriptHookVDotNet3, Version=3.9.0.0"
@Van_Zandt @Van_Zandt it was built against the 3.9 fork, so it asked for 3.9 by name and older SHVDN refuses it. Sorry.
0.1.8 is built against 3.6.0 and up now. Would you mind trying it? I can only run the 3.9 fork over here.
@spitmux Yea, I've ran it on the 3.9 fork. My issue with the 3.9 fork though is that it's not compatible with alot of mods (Pull Me Over revamped, Better Police Chases, Six star response, etc) So that's why I'm staying with the nightly version.

I don't have GTAV installed anymore so I can't try your mod myself but according to what I've seen on your showcase video the mod looks pretty cool. I really like the liquid and bubbles animation and the hose implementation. Great work!
@spitmux When the jerry can is completely empty (0.0), it is impossible to fill it at the gas station. If the can already contains at least 0.1 litres, then it can be filled normally at the pump.
So it seems the problem only occurs when the can is at exactly 0.0.
Fantastic work on Fumes! The realism and attention to detail are impressive. Please keep developing it—advanced fuel consumption, more vehicle-specific systems, and deeper station interactions would be amazing.
