@Reyser Which was an error made by the creator, that can easily be fixed - and should have been seen by him before launch. To his defence though....
I actually did an OIV for L.A. Roads that I never released:

A ton of files had to be addressed.
Installing it manually by drag and drop would lead to files not being replaced, because quite a bit of the directory structure didn't match. Installing the mod by hand was time consuming and annoying. With the installer (when it works..), you generally shouldn't worry about it, because the creator already went trough the pain. But as you mentioned, people sometimes makes mistake.
I should probably have released the installer at one point, but one was already there, and I didn't get around to ask CryHD. But we have a better way now ;)
If OIV files are not your thing, you can just unzip the file and manually drag and drop from the content folder. I do feel a little silly for making an installer for something so small, but still, small things, big difference.
@AGBD2000 Setting the encoding to ANSI and removing any special characters and code that don't have to be there. I recommend you compare the old to the new one. Unzip both and you should find "assembly.xml".
@Stenqvist If you read the description, you would see that it's outdated.
@Anime_Boom This .oiv should work for all. http://esm.briareus.feralhosting.com/file/L.A.%20Roads%202.7%20Patch%20OIV.zip
@Neutralization Do you have any other mods installed? Does the game crash now and then? Error message?
@ExoticParallel Sorry for being slow. Will work on it this weekend.
@ExoticParallel Install Redux first then this mod and it should work! Just remember to install the original L.A. Roads 2.0 before this patch.
Well, "it should work". I'll take a look at it to confirm it.

@Reyser That's a new one to me. In what way can the installer break the game compared doing it manually? It's the same process.
You are right about it being simple. but people want it because it's safer and more convenient.
@Anime_Boom Feel free to also change it from .zip to .oiv so people don't get confused.

Report back the results.
@Nexxus I'll check it out.

@ExoticParallel Sorry for being slow here. Don't have much time on hand. I'll see if I can get to it today.
