I felt like it's time to release the car I have been working on over the past month, the 69' Nova! I am very eager to release this so it has a few bugs that I'll cover over the next few days, so stay tuned.

This mod has been created with the help of Spitfire7, credits to him!

And thanks to Kizacudo for providing the addon!

BIG UPDATE: Dlc now has 2 more cars, the first one is almost like the stock one but with drag slicks, so a drag nova, the second one is the so called Murder Nova" from the well known TV Show Street Outlaws!

    WARNING: The DRAG car handlings has not been perfected, CD69 has a Drag Handling, but it needs tweaking, and CM69 has same as stock! IF YOU CAN DO HANDLING FILES, PLEASE MAKE FOR THE TWO CARS AND SEND IT TO ME. SO I CAN IMPLEMENT IT IN THE ADDON. THANK YOU :)

      @TheJosh420 try this handling for the 69nova i love the car but the handling i would spin out around corners too much. Prefer to drive the car not spin out majority of the time around corners. I also made the car faster.

      @Willief23 The car doesn't spin out, it can't turn hard enough to spin out, It's understeering.
      It's actually very easy and predictable to drive if you guys would just hit the brakes BEFORE the corner instead of in the middle of it :)

      @Impactjunky I would love to use the suspension you made for yourself. I really like the handling it has now; the body roll feels awesome, but your message says yours is a little softer which seems more realistic. How would you feel about sharing it? Also, I've dicked around with handling lines back in GTA IV days but I forgot most of it; is there a way to hold a gear? With this Nova I get oversteer in a corner and I want to use it, holding the throttle staying sideways through the turn, but the Nova upshifts and I lose all my rpms. Any ideas?
      Also Also, @Zievs... dude.. very nice job on this car. I couldn't believe the tuning abilities with this thing after only dropping it into dlcs. I remember having to go through a bunch of shit to add tuning, but maybe that's just with cars that replace. The model is fantastic and the multiple versions are fun. That murder Nova... holy shit. I literally yelled OH F*CK when I hit throttle the first time lol. I went straight into the back of a Range Rover and Trevor damn near went through it's rear window. I downloaded this mainly for @Eddlm 's Drag Meet mod; seems like a perfect fit.. I just hope I'll have competition.

      @HellOnWheels357 Thanks man, I'll link you to what I'm using soon. And you can either try IKT's manual transmission mod or exploit the e brake downshift feature. You can tap the e brake and floor it to downshift and hold any car back in gear for burnouts, drifts or earlier downshifts on uphill slopes.

      @HellOnWheels357 Some of the super car and GTR handling mods on this site are good competition for the drag meets. I like to install realistic handling for my rivals cars as well to make things more exciting :)

      @Impactjunky Thanks for the tips. I'm using Killatomate's Realistic Driving V mod as I found it to be the best and largest mod of its kind. GTA V finally became fun for me after handling mods were released. I don't know wtf Rockstar was thinking with their handling and damage lines in this game. They took it a step further when they made pitting very difficult because of all the crying online players. You have to have a heavy car like the armored Karuma to pit maneuver someone without it looking like you're trying to derail a train off of tracks. Back on topic, lol. My fears were met; none could take on the drag Nova. I'm gonna look into those line you're talking about as well as add some custom racers to the list, right after I'm done pluging all of your handling mods into Killatomate's handling file; after driving that Nova, I want everything you got. If I could change one thing about it, I would like a little more deformation. I plan on doing that myself I just have to figure out where to look.

      @Zievs I am just writing a script that relies on wheel rotation speed as an input parameter. When I am in this car, it always registers as 0. Do you know if that's a meta-file related thing or is it model related?

      @LeeC2202 i would assume it is handling related, but the model has both lf and lr wheel models since front and rear are different sizes. I guess this could have an impact on it but I am not sure. Maybe there is only one way to find out! I am giving this a tire update soon and maybe i can try deleting lr model and see if it works.

      @Zievs I will have a look in the handling, see if I can spot anything... I'm not that knowledgeable in that area though, so I am not sure what to look for. I could try giving it a different handling file from a car I know works, see what happens. I know that will make a mess of things but it might give me a clue.

      What's confusing, is the wheel rotation speed should all be calculated in the game physics and then fed to the model, or at least that's how my understanding of car physics works from my limited experience with the racing game I partly wrote. So in that case, I wouldn't have thought the model construction would affect it... but you never know, Rockstar do manage the occasional surprise every now and again with teh way things work. :)

      If I make any progress, I will let you know.

      @Zievs Turns out that the SHVDN WheelSpeed is related to the dashboard, not the wheels... so it seems to be something I shoudn't be using anyway. They do make things confusing sometimes with their naming conventions. :(

      But I just wanted to let you know, so you don't waste time on something that isn't related to wheel models.
