@targets Most add-on cars go like this:

Open OpenIV

Then go to \update\x64\dlcpacks

Click edit mode in OpenIV

Drag and drop the folder named after the car with the dlc.rpf file in it

Then go to \update\update.rpf\common\data

Find dlclist.xml

Right click -> Edit

Then scroll all the way down and add <item>dlcpacks:\gtr\</item>

Or change the "gtr" to the car name you downloaded

Save, and you should be done.

Note: some have everything in mods folder. i have my path to dlclist.xml in mods and dlcpacks outside mods...

Every time I try to use one of these mods, my game crashes while loading without any error. I've spent an hour trying to figure out what the hell is wrong and have nothing to show for it. @hanjostein how did you get it to work? I have done everything correctly for all 3 of y97y's Skylines, and every single one ends in the game crashing without an error.

@Hellcat_1 Hi, the problem is the gameconfig file in openIV. You have to download the modded gameconfig file for your version of GTA V and replace the original one with the moded one in the OpenIV.

Basically the original gameconfig file does not allow you to add card mods in the game, while the modded gameconfig file allows you to add multiple car mods in the game.

You can go to gta5-mods.com and search for "gameconfig" in the search bar and download the first one. Then open the folder and choose the gameconfig file that matches your version of GTA V. And then replace it with the original one like I told you above.

That's it. Done !!!

For some reason, recently the mod stopped allowing me to modify the car. I'll spawn the saved vehicle but the the bodykits that came with the car wont load and I can even change the wheels anymore. This is strange bc I had the mod for months and it gave me no issues. I had the nismo bodykit on, custom engine sound (Still works), and the still the same lighting as I had before. Just no bodykit and performance mods anymore for some reason.

I tried reinstalling multiple times. Still nothing. I tried to check the "content" notepad to see why the "vehiclemods" folder wasn't being detected. Still noting. Other than these issues I just started having, this mod is solid as fuck!! Great job. I just need to figure out this vehiclemods thing out bc I dont want any other 2017 R35 mod besides this one
