This mod is a love letter to Bayan Asghar's incredible work. His
B-Rims packs have been downloaded nearly 500,000 times and remain
some of the highest quality wheel mods ever made for GTA V.

Unfortunately, some of his original download links have been dying,
and the mods were never updated for GTA V Enhanced Edition. This
project aims to preserve his work, make it easier to install, and
bring it to the new generation of GTA V.

At Bayan Asghar's discretion, I will remove this mod immediately.
This is meant to keep his legacy alive, not replace it.

### WHY THIS VERSION? ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
The original B-Rims packs used vehshare.ytd to share textures
between all vehicles, resulting in smaller file sizes. However,
this required replacing or placing textures in multiple locations
outside of the DLC folder, making installation complicated and
causing conflicts with other mods.

This version embeds all textures directly into each wheel file,
making it a true standalone Add-On DLC that:
- Does NOT touch any base game files
- Does NOT require vehshare.ytd modifications
- Does NOT conflict with other wheel/vehicle mods
- Works as a simple drag-and-drop installation

The trade-off is larger file sizes, but the simplicity and
compatibility are worth it.

### INCLUDED PACKS ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
- HQ B-Rims Pack #1 (117 wheels)
- HQ B-Rims Pack #2 (112 wheels)
- Offroad B-Rims Pack (54 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #1 (21 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #2 (12 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #3 (52 wheels)

Total: 368 High-Quality Wheels

### WHICH VERSION DO I NEED? ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
LEGACY VERSION:
- For GTA V (Original/Legacy)
- Uses Gen8 format with embedded DXT1 textures

ENHANCED VERSION:
- For GTA V Enhanced Edition
- Uses Gen9 format with embedded BC1_UNORM textures
- Required significant reverse engineering to convert

--------------------------------------------------------------
### TECHNICAL JOURNEY (Enhanced Version) ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
Converting these wheels to Enhanced Edition was not straightforward.
Here's what I discovered and solved:

PROBLEM 1: Black Textures
- Initial Sollumz exports showed completely black textures in-game
- I discovered that Sollumz was only embedding 4 textures per wheel
instead of the full 15-20 textures
- The "Set All Embedded" function wasn't capturing all textures

PROBLEM 2: Texture Format Issues
- CodeWalker-converted wheels displayed textures but crashed
- These used BC1/DXT1 format with corrupted mip chains
- BC7 format worked but doubled file sizes

SOLUTION:
- Extract texture names from original Legacy wheels
- Source original DDS textures from the mod's texture library
- Convert all textures to BC1_UNORM format using texconv
- Rebuild each wheel using Sollumz Gen9 structure with pymateria
- Replace texture dictionary with properly formatted BC1 textures

RESULT:
- All 368 wheels working in Enhanced Edition
- Same file sizes as Legacy version
- Stable with no crashes or visual glitches

Tools used: Sollumz, pymateria, texconv, Blender 5.0
