This mod is a love letter to Bayan Asghar's incredible work. His
B-Rims packs have been downloaded nearly 500,000 times and remain
some of the highest quality wheel mods ever made for GTA V.
Unfortunately, some of his original download links have been dying,
and the mods were never updated for GTA V Enhanced Edition. This
project aims to preserve his work, make it easier to install, and
bring it to the new generation of GTA V.
At Bayan Asghar's discretion, I will remove this mod immediately.
This is meant to keep his legacy alive, not replace it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
### WHY THIS VERSION? ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
The original B-Rims packs used vehshare.ytd to share textures
between all vehicles, resulting in smaller file sizes. However,
this required replacing or placing textures in multiple locations
outside of the DLC folder, making installation complicated and
causing conflicts with other mods.
This version embeds all textures directly into each wheel file,
making it a true standalone Add-On DLC that:
- Does NOT touch any base game files
- Does NOT require vehshare.ytd modifications
- Does NOT conflict with other wheel/vehicle mods
- Works as a simple drag-and-drop installation
The trade-off is larger file sizes, but the simplicity and
compatibility are worth it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
### INCLUDED PACKS ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
- HQ B-Rims Pack #1 (117 wheels)
- HQ B-Rims Pack #2 (112 wheels)
- Offroad B-Rims Pack (54 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #1 (21 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #2 (12 wheels)
- Vossen B-Rims Pack #3 (52 wheels)
Total: 368 High-Quality Wheels
--------------------------------------------------------------
### WHICH VERSION DO I NEED? ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
LEGACY VERSION:
- For GTA V (Original/Legacy)
- Uses Gen8 format with embedded DXT1 textures
ENHANCED VERSION:
- For GTA V Enhanced Edition
- Uses Gen9 format with embedded BC1_UNORM textures
- Required significant reverse engineering to convert
--------------------------------------------------------------
### TECHNICAL JOURNEY (Enhanced Version) ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
Converting these wheels to Enhanced Edition was not straightforward.
Here's what I discovered and solved:
PROBLEM 1: Black Textures
- Initial Sollumz exports showed completely black textures in-game
- I discovered that Sollumz was only embedding 4 textures per wheel
instead of the full 15-20 textures
- The "Set All Embedded" function wasn't capturing all textures
PROBLEM 2: Texture Format Issues
- CodeWalker-converted wheels displayed textures but crashed
- These used BC1/DXT1 format with corrupted mip chains
- BC7 format worked but doubled file sizes
SOLUTION:
- Extract texture names from original Legacy wheels
- Source original DDS textures from the mod's texture library
- Convert all textures to BC1_UNORM format using texconv
- Rebuild each wheel using Sollumz Gen9 structure with pymateria
- Replace texture dictionary with properly formatted BC1 textures
RESULT:
- All 368 wheels working in Enhanced Edition
- Same file sizes as Legacy version
- Stable with no crashes or visual glitches
Tools used: Sollumz, pymateria, texconv, Blender 5.0
--------------------------------------------------------------
### CHANGELOG ###
--------------------------------------------------------------
1.0
- Initial release for both Legacy and Enhanced Edition
- Combined 6 abandoned wheel packs into single DLC
- Converted all 368 wheels to Gen9 format (Enhanced)
- Embedded all textures for standalone installation
- No vehshare.ytd modifications required
1.1
- Added a google drive download as an alternative

I want to clarify At Bayan Asghar's discretion, I will remove this mod immediately.
This is meant to keep his legacy alive, not replace it. This is an alternative that is much bigger in size but keeps it to just DLC and also allows it to work on enhanced. His work making these was a massive feat and i in no way take credit for his work... i just love his mod ^-^
This file has been approved automatically. If you think this file should not be here for any reason please report it.
If you use codewalker rpf explorer you may have to manually create the folder and drag and drop the dlc.rpf inside of each one. I believe this to be a limitation due to how big the files are on codewalkers end.
An amazing Job well done. Also an shoutout to Baylan for making these rims.
My greatest appreciation for this work. It takes a lot of time, dedication, and strong determination to bring everything together into something like this.
How about you use a file host that actually allows the file to be downloaded instead of cutting off saying you have used your daily data quota
@brendan62 I did not know there was a download limit. Do you have an account for mega? If you have another preferred provider I'm willing to hear it but now that review has stained this mod...
@brendan62 I have now uploaded to google drive and its in two places. I am truly sorry for my ignorance in not knowing about the download limit for not having an account on mega. The new read me has the google drive link when downloaded. Can you please remove your comment or bad rating?
@brendan62 Thank you, if you have any further issues please let me know and i will fix them ASAP! ^-^
Sorry guys another mistake on my end, the google drive folder is currently being updated to the correct "Enhanced" folder. If your "Enhanced" folder is less than 4GB in size then you have the wrong one and will have to redownload. Hopefully the upload is now stable. Sorry for the confusion. If anyone else has any problems please let me know so i can address it ASAP. ^-^
GREAT WORK, i use his Off-Road textures and had to installed every time there's an update the textures in vehshare.txd, with this it's more easy, thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!!!
Hey, could you make some optional tire textures as well, such as Bridgestone, Michelin, or other brands? The current one doesn't seem to fit very well, which is a bit of a shame.@TabbedScamper
@2EZ4RNDI ill put this on my radar. This was just a simple side project to help me install B-Rims easier that i thought people would enjoy but i do have access to the textures and can modify them.
@TabbedScamper thanks for all the work you do. And, of course, we thank the original author of this B-Rim pack 👏

hi pretty cool, but idk why for example on muscle wheels it crashes my game when i scroll through wheels
@LRNSR try a gameconfig to allow more resources to load/limit resources. Try lowering your settings to see if it stays alive while scrolling. There are some instances that if you scroll super fast it doesn't preview them instantly but I have yet to have a crash just due to the rims. They are extremely high quality so some hardware may struggle with it.
@TabbedScamper hi man yeah i've seen these are the best quality i've seen. Yeah i noticed that if i scroll really slow it's cool but still can get some crashes. And last thing, i'm running gta on previous version (3751) because i didn't found a good working gameconfig for 3788. thanks a lot for the help
Nicely compiled and works great with mods like Extended Los Santos Customs, thank you!
Could somebody help me what I'm doing wrong. I've got the enhanced version and using NVE I've put the files in Onigiri/mods and added the lines to the dlclist, but the wheels are not showing when visiting a Los Santos Customs (LSC). Should there be another file to trigger the loading of the files when entering a LSC?
