Ways to fix issues where the game is unplayable:
Firstly, you need to download this fix for swimming files: https://zh.gta5-mods.com/misc/swimmable-water-everywhere
Open OpenIV and navigate to the following path: mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5
Then, drag the "heightmap.dat" file in to replace it, and you can fix the non-swimmable areas in the game. Upon re-entering the game, you will be amazed to find that you can now swim.
@GTAtietumoxing I thought of another idea, would it be possible to make a script to have other npcs sliding down the slides?
@Starfox1993 This is an excellent creative suggestion, I really love this concept!
We already have code for NPCs sprinting and diving off platforms, so adapting that logic to make them ride down all the water slides is totally achievable.
I’ve saved this idea to my development list and I will work on this feature in a future update.
Always feel free to share any more ideas you come up with, every suggestion helps make this water park map even better!
I’ve received loads of great suggestions from everyone lately and I honestly couldn’t be happier.
It feels amazing building this waterpark map together with the community. You guys share creative ideas and inspiration, our team handles the technical work to turn those concepts into reality.
This kind of collaborative atmosphere is exactly what I want to see. Don’t hold back any thoughts or concepts you may have, every piece of feedback matters a lot.
Your ideas really speed up new version development and help make this map richer and more fun with each update. Feel free to drop any suggestions anytime!
@GTAtietumoxing Another idea is you have empty interior rooms, why not make one an arcade room, there are plenty of arcade props, and another into restrooms, or changing room.
@Starfox1993 Love this suggestion, this is such a practical way to use those unused empty interiors!
Turning one space into an arcade room full of game machines and setting aside another area for restrooms & changing rooms will massively boost the immersion of the water park.
I’m adding this whole idea to my development checklist, I really appreciate you constantly coming up with all these great concepts. Keep all your awesome ideas coming!
@GTAtietumoxing thank you and glad you like. I will keep exploring through this.
@Starfox1993 That’s awesome to hear! Every single idea you bring up makes this water park way more complete and lively. I’m always excited to see your next creative thoughts, feel free to share any new concepts you come up with anytime!
@GTAtietumoxing How about the 3rd empty room a shower room with a sauna that has a couple hot tubs in it with a shelf of towels. or maybe a Gift shop or something
@Starfox1993 Both ideas sound absolutely amazing, they fit the water park vibe perfectly!
A sauna & shower zone with hot tubs would feel super realistic and relaxing, while a souvenir gift shop adds more fun interactive details. I’ll add both options to my development plan to consider for future updates. Thank you so much for all these thoughtful, well-rounded suggestions!
@GTAtietumoxing You’re welcome
@Starfox1993 It’s my pleasure! Your creative ideas really help polish this water park map a lot. Feel free to share any new concepts you come up with anytime, I’m always happy to hear them!
bro wtf what files do i even install for this?! you made the description hella complicated
@Brando352 I totally get that the long description might feel intimidating at first. I’ve prepared separate installation guides for offline SP single-player and FiveM, plus full changelogs for every release.
This map has received many updates. If I cut too many details to shorten the text, the setup instructions would become incomplete and cause installation issues for other users. It’s a tough balance: overly brief guides lead to confusion, while retaining all necessary information results in a longer description.
Just grab the newest available archive, higher versions always contain more complete content. Once you extract the zip, you will see multiple separated folders. Every single folder includes its own dedicated installation notes. Simply go through each folder one after another and follow the internal instructions step by step.
Most players install it smoothly by taking it step by step. It is not technically difficult at all, it just requires a little patience to follow the directions carefully.
To everyone viewing this mod page:
I want to explain why the description page is quite lengthy.
I list detailed changelogs for every single released version. Different players have different preferences. Not everyone wants the newest update. Some players only want specific features from certain builds. Listing out every version’s updates allows people to pick the exact release that matches what they are looking for. I have already condensed each changelog to be as brief as possible, but I have many existing updates, and I plan to release around twenty more versions in the future. If I keep cutting details further, these version notes become meaningless. It would be pointless to maintain them at all.
These changelogs act like video thumbnails. Reading what each update adds helps you decide whether you want to download that particular version.
I have created separate installation guides for offline SP single-player and FiveM servers within the description. Beyond that, I try to be extra thorough. Normally the page instructions would be enough, but I also added dedicated installation guides inside every separate folder within the downloaded archive, covering scripts, models and other assets.
You only need to grab the version you prefer. Once you extract the archive, simply open each folder in order and follow the internal instructions step by step.
The installation process itself is not difficult. It only requires a little patience to follow everything steadily. Up until now, only a very small number of users feel overwhelmed, most players follow the guides and complete installation smoothly.
If I stripped out too much information just to make the page shorter, many important details would disappear and cause confusion for everyone. It is hard to strike a perfect balance between brevity and completeness.
@GTAtietumoxing I had another idea, a bit of a silly one but, possible to make tiger sharks spawn near the slide that leads outside to the ocean, like they are waiting for food? Lol
@Starfox1993 This idea is absolutely brilliant and super fun! It adds a hilarious thrilling surprise moment right when players slide all the way down into the ocean. I will add this tiger shark spawn mechanic to my future development plan, this little playful detail will make the water park way more lively and interesting. Thank you so much for constantly coming up with such creative little details for the map!
MANY THANKS FOR THIS MOD CAN YOU GIVE ME PROPS I CAN PLACE THE WATER SLIDE INDIVISUALLY IN MAP WITH OBJECT SPONNER?
any chance u could update it again as with all my maps the lights dont always loadn when i take some maps off they work so lights wont load with all my maps which is weird
@RIAD_12 Thank you for liking this mod. Currently, these water slides are combined as a whole map asset, and I do not have separate props available for Object Spooner right now. I will consider splitting them in future updates.
@Punkman85 Thank you very much for your feedback!
We have fully tested this water park map, and many players use it alongside dozens of other custom maps without any lighting loading errors. This issue is most likely caused by a conflict with another map you have installed.
MLO interior maps are a common culprit for such conflicts. These maps contain lots of special interior objects and unique resources, which easily trigger ID clashes or exhaust the game’s resource limits.
We also suggest you double-check that you have installed all required patches, including memory limit patches and game hook files.
Troubleshooting map conflicts can be tricky. You can try disabling large, complex maps and MLO interior maps one by one to find which one causes the problem.
