The GTA mod community in China is pretty messy. It’s not that everyone here is a scammer or reseller, only a small group of people cause most of the trouble. These people commit fraud and resell stolen mods at the same time. They steal tons of free mods from home and abroad and sell them for profit. Some of them just change a few textures and claim the work is their original creation. They operate with a large number of alt‑accounts in a matrix style to keep scamming people. If they have stolen mods to sell, they will resell them; if they don’t have what buyers want, they will straight‑up lie to customers. They often deliver products that are completely different from their descriptions. When buyers ask for refunds, they hide behind the excuse that virtual items cannot be refunded, which is really disgusting. When victims stand up for their rights, these scammers threaten people with fake lawyer letters, file false reports and spread slander to put psychological pressure on victims. Some naive and timid players get intimidated and choose to stay silent. Other straightforward people who hate unfairness will expose what happened, but then they suffer various malicious retaliation and attacks from the scammers. This stops many harmed players from speaking out and makes these bad behaviors even worse. That’s why I made the Los Santos Anti‑Fraud Center map. Right now the first‑floor interior is fully accessible. Later I will add the second, third and fourth floors connected by staircases, each floor will have unique and richer content. This map is made to fight against these scammers in the mod community and spread anti‑fraud knowledge, so more players can avoid getting cheated.
