Changelog v.1.2 - Enhanced Safety & Panic Reaction: Drivers will now dynamically break their calm state and panic (fleeing or stepping on the gas) if the player aims a weapon or shoots nearby within 25 meters.
Improved Startup Stability: Added an initialization delay on world load to prevent startup race conditions and game crashes (access violation) when conflicting with heavy menu mods or UI overlays.
Refined Traffic Flow: Maintained strict lane discipline, red light obedience, and anti-suicidal behavior while fixing the lack of survival instincts under direct threat.
Changelog v.1.1 - fixed issue with traffic lights
Are you absolutely sick and tired of Los Santos NPCs treating every minor, innocent mistake—like you gently grazing the centerline by a mere two centimeters—as a direct declaration of war?
Do local drivers look at your car and immediately think, "Ah yes, time to perform a heroic kamikaze maneuver directly into his hood at 150 mph"?
Me too. That’s why CalmTraffic exists.
What does this mod actually do?
Cures Suicidal Tendencies: Stops NPC drivers from panicking and executing a 90-degree turn straight into oncoming traffic just because you exist near them.
Highway Sanity: Finally brings peace to country roads and highways where bots used to lose their minds at the sight of a slightly crooked bumper.
Basic Survival Instincts: Instead of transforming into homicidal maniacs, drivers will actually (gasp!) use their brakes and stay in their own damn lanes.
Installation

I’ve tested the mod three times in the same locations. When it’s installed, all NPCs ignore the traffic lights and keep driving regardless of whether the light is red or green. It results in total chaos.When it’s not installed, everything remains vanilla.No idea what’s going wrong there.
yes mods causes traffic into chaos.
should rename to ChaosTraffic
Thanks for your feedback. Issue with traffic lights is fixed
Working very well on Legacy! Finally someone did bring order to chaos!
Does it fix a bug that NPC kamikaze on you while in right cornering road?
I like the idea/concept, but as of v1.1 the traffic/drivers lean too heavily into lacking reaction -- you can aim or shoot at them/their vehicle and they would not even flinch, let alone try to speed away.
@Aquaphobic I fixed this issue
@Dimo_G Hi! Could you please use the same version numbering on Nexus Mods as on GTA5-Mods (v1.1, v1.2, etc.)?
The version numbering is currently different on the two websites, which makes it confusing for users to know which version is the latest and what has changed.
Using consistent version numbers and changelogs on both platforms would make things much clearer.
Thank you!
@AliG_15 versions match on gta5-mods and Nexus Mods
@Dimo_G Thanks for clarifying! However, on Nexus Mods the changelog shows Version 4, Version 3 and Version 2, while on GTA5-Mods it shows v1.2 and v1.1.
Could you please clarify how these version numbers correspond to each other?
@AliG_15 version 4 on Nexus is match with version 1.2 on gta5-mods
@Dimo_G I know, thank you for clarifying. I just thought it would be better to use the same version numbering on both websites to avoid confusion for users.
GOOD WORK BRO!
@TeamHimes thanks bro!
