Have you ever been in the middle of an intense, cinematic shootout in Los Santos, only for the immersion to be completely shattered? You shoot a heavily armed tactical officer in the toe peeking from behind a car tire, and they instantly drop dead. Or you land a precise headshot on a helmeted SWAT member, and instead of a realistic armor response, they absorb countless rounds before the gear finally reacts.
The Combat Realism Overhaul is an ASI mod designed to break the limitations of the vanilla engine, bringing visceral, tactical realism to every single gunfight.
Key Features:
Tactical Cover & Limb Realism (No More Cover Instakills!)
No more toe-shot fatalities. When an NPC is hunkered down behind cover and takes a round to the leg, foot, or ankle, the immersion-breaking "instant kill" bug is a thing of the past. Utilizing the game's physical Euphoria engine, enemies will realistically stagger, lose their footing, and tumble to the ground in pain. But they aren't out of the fight. They will immediately prop themselves up, return cover fire from the ground, and smoothly fight their way back onto their feet to reposition and push your location.
Dynamic Ballistic Helmets & Kinetic Stagger
Armor finally behaves like armor. Heavily geared enemies (SWAT, military, tactical officers) now have fully simulated, physics-driven ballistic helmets.
The First Impact: A headshot against a helmeted enemy will ring their bell. Their helmet physically flies off their head in a high-velocity launch. The kinetic force staggers the combatant, sending them stumbling backward in a brief, disoriented daze.
The Exposed Threat: Once their tactical gear is blown away, they are completely exposed and critically weakened. The next precise shot—anywhere on their body—will permanently eliminate them.
Unarmored Vulnerability: Civilians, gang members, or any hostiles without headgear will still suffer realistic, instant, one-shot fatalities to the head, maintaining a brutal and authentic combat loop.

Impressed somebody pulled this off via C++, Did you do it by like if hit foot take this damage or something else?
