This script adds a "shoulder swap" functionality while aiming with a weapon, much like what you might find in other games such as Tomb Raider or The Division.
This was requested a while back on gtaforums but was eventually abandoned after the original requester went AWOL. I've decided to finish the mod and release it here for anyone that might enjoy having this kind of function.
The button to swap camera is Left Shift by default

Doesn't work anymore with the latest game update 😭 the game crashes when aiming.
Update to my previous comment: When the game crashes an error message box comes up that says "CORE: An exception occurred while executing 'ShoulderCam.asi' (0x00007FFBE22BA2F0), id 35"
Something is making this mod not work. Note it is not compatible with GTA Redux.
@CamxxCore A much needed mod! As the fellows above mentioned a controller support (preferably configurable) would be very nice!

Amazing, with me playing Ghost Recon a lot this was definitely a feature i was missing while playing GTA.
Only thing that would need sorting tho is an ability to change the keybind.
Really cool mod! It would be cool to have a reanimation a little like Hitman 2 to move to a left handed shot while in the other camera mode, but that would be really difficult to make.
Anyone wanting controller support -- get a program called JoytoKey . It allows you to set gamepad buttons or button combos to activate keys on the keyboard.

mod only works with pistols and assault rifles. Please add more weapons!
It's not working for me. It says "[17:56:51] [LOG] [ERROR] Failed to find game state"

I wish I could understand how to get this mod working again, the only mods I can find around are paid FiveM server mods only, nothing for singleplayer. Baffles my mind that millions of people can play a game like this and not desire any dynamic improvements to the combat system lol

@TheFearI95 unfortunately a lot of this game's fanbase are children, and children don't have the best standards.
@ab douh Haha, my BASELINE standard for shooters is to have good aiming and mobility. Especially in a game that features online shootouts... no crouching or shoulder swapping is actually insane.
