A refreshing GTA 6-inspired feature for GTA 5! This mod automatically hides the minimap during free roam and supports both GTA V Legacy & Enhanced on PC.
WHAT IT DOES
Hides the mini-map/radar during normal free roaming.
Press the X button to view the minimap.
The radar automatically becomes visible when:
- You enter any vehicle.
- You receive a wanted level.
- You equip/hold a weapon.
- A script-based/In-game mission is active.
- A random event is active.
- Read changelog for more.

There is a setting for this… why upload if there is a base setting to hide the mini map?

You can do that, but you’d have to go into the settings every time. RadarVI brings this GTA 6-style feature to GTA 5 by automatically hiding the minimap while free roaming and showing it again when you actually need it. Give it a shot, you’ll like it. 👍

The mod is great and works well, but it would be nice if the map appeared for a few seconds when pressing the down arrow on the D-pad (for example to ceck healt when sprinting too much with finished stamina or cecking oxygen when you swin underwater) or just appearing again in these cases where status bar are important. Apart from this, good job!

@gtawood Every trainer can do this and many scripts can do this very quickly. Check out Menyoo and Simple Trainer, much easier than adding script for basic stuff.

a few trainers may have a similar option, but this is a simple solution that’s closer to GTA 6, especially if you watch the extended trailer. i made this just for fun and decided to share it with everyone here. i hope you guys enjoy it.
