5mods on Discord
v1.1.6 adds an option to reduce how often the distance to the closest fuel station is calculated. By default it's every 5 seconds now when you've run out of fuel.
It also fixes an issue with throttle readout, probably has been going wrong since 1604.
Electric vehicle fuel consumption is re-enabled again.
Other issues (not working, no blips) I could not reproduce on my 1.0.1604.1 Steam version, but let me know if you have other issues.
If you aren't aware yet, I'm merely maintaining this script, and do not plan to put in lots of effort for big changes or feature additions.
Please update the mod for the latest version of the game, thanks.
@LeFix, @ikt Please update the mod to the latest version of the game; this was my most used mod. Thank you in advance.
would be crazy if we got an update after 7 years, but this is also my most used mod guys
We need an update, This is a too good mod to be left behind
bro update this mod plzzz.... @ikt
This mod needs to be updated to the newest version of the game.
@ikt As I have done for the LeFix Speedometer, I also have created a fix for game version 1.0.3788 and opened a PR on your GH related to this one: https://github.com/ikt32/gta5-simplefuel/pull/1
For others who want to use it before any official release, feel free to download the new version from my repo:
https://github.com/crucialthread/gta5-simplefuel/releases/tag/v1.1.8
Dependency:
https://github.com/crucialthread/gta5-speedometer/releases/tag/v1.3.9
@CrucialThread Thank you!!!
@CrucialThread Woww thanks man. But I wish the menu didn't open when I pressed the "V" key on my keyboard.
@Bulls_LiDeR yeah, I realized that, I'm working to fix it and I let you know, sorry for that.
If anybody on controller wants to stop the back button from opening the menu in the updated version linked above, change these lines under [MENU] in settings_menu.ini:
ControllerButton1 = 189
ControllerButton2 = 205
Or use whatever inputs you want from the list below it (just don't use RB or you won't be able to refuel). It changes the input combo to open the menu. Cheers.
I've released a new version fixing the V menu bug:
https://github.com/crucialthread/gta5-simplefuel/releases/tag/v1.1.9
Cheers.
@CrucialThread the Speedometer also has this problem with V
@viperwolf2654 I know, but the official release from Ikt doesn't, so you can use that :)
https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/lefix-speedometer
@CrucialThread ok sweet thank you
gives me an error message with only a few mods and alot of mods so IDK if its incompatable with another or not, But it gives me an error message and wont work
@LeFix, ikt
The mod is excellent, but it doesn't work with the game's latest update. Please update it. Thanks.
@ikt can you update the Simple Fuel to the new game version too? I believe that it crashes due the Handbrake offset value now...
LeFix Simple Fuel 1.1.7 — GTA V Enhanced Build Fix
If you're having trouble compiling LeFix Simple Fuel 1.1.7 for GTA V Enhanced, this is the method that worked for me.
Original project: https://github.com/ikt32/gta5-simplefuel
1. Install prerequisites
- Install Visual Studio Community with the Desktop development with C++ workload.
- Install the MSVC v141 — VS 2017 C++ x64/x86 build tools.
- Download the ScriptHookV SDK.
2. Restore missing dependencies
Download these dependencies from their respective repositories:
- GTAVMenuBase: https://github.com/ikt32/GTAVMenuBase/tree/40bd06a502452f792d33ca454a0e08ddc64ae16a
- SimpleIni: https://github.com/brofield/simpleini/tree/fe082fa81f4a55ddceb55056622136be616b3c6f
Place the downloaded dependencies inside the extracted Simple Fuel project directory, using this structure:
Expected folder structure:
<SimpleFuel-Project-Root>\
└── thirdparty\
├── GTAVMenuBase\
└── simpleini\
Make sure the required .cpp and .h files are present and preserve the directory structure expected by the project.
3. Build the project
Open LeFixSimpleFuel.sln in Visual Studio and select:
- Configuration: Release
- Platform: x64
Then select Build → Rebuild Solution.
After a successful build, the compiled plugin should appear at:
LeFixSimpleFuel\bin\Release\LeFixSimpleFuel.asi
4. Test the plugin
Back up your original .asi file before replacing it. Test the rebuilt plugin in GTA V Enhanced and check whether the fuel system works correctly.
Note: This workaround successfully compiled and ran the mod in my installation. It is not an official update from the original author, and compatibility may vary across GTA V Enhanced versions. Successful compilation alone does not guarantee that every memory offset or feature works correctly.
This needs an update real bad.
