Changelog 4.3
Changelog 4.2
Important Note regarding visual mods
Changelog 4.1
updated for the latest Enhanced version fixed a bunch of UI and layout stuff
Changelog 4.0
Custom Files and References Update
Comments, headers, and unknown extra values are kept whenever possible.
Check Files
If a file has broken values, missing values, or duplicates, the tool warns you instead of half loading the file and causing weird results.
If Check Files shows up, hover over it, repair the file and load it again.
Important: References Folder
Imports = vanilla or custom file you want to edit.
References = clean original file (vanilla) the tool can compare against.
References are required. This is especially important for Weather Render Files and before/after comparisons.
You only need the files you want to edit, but a visual mod can look very different from the full mod without its textures, shaders, or other required mod files installed.
Exception: Delete all custom files such as timecycles from the mods folder.
Import Guide
Imports\Timecycles\ -> normal timecycles (w_clear.xml, etc.)
Imports\Timecycle Mods\ -> timecycle_mods .xmls
Imports\Weather Files\ -> weather.xml, watertune.xml, vfxlightningsettings.xml and the render files here (rainstorm_render_drop.xml, etc.)
Imports\ (root folder) -> ONLY for visualsettings.dat.
References Guide (vanilla)
References\Timecycles\ -> normal timecycles (w_clear.xml, etc.)
References\Timecycle Mods\ -> timecycle_mods .xmls
References\Weather Files\ -> weather.xml, watertune.xml, vfxlightningsettings.xml and the render files here (rainstorm_render_drop.xml, etc.)
References\ (root folder) -> ONLY for visualsettings.dat.
Misc category was removed from ATE 4.0.
carcols.ymt / siren editing will be released as a separate tool instead.
Changelog 3.0
Added Weather and Misc Editors
Weather Tab
Live tweaking for weather.xml. Almost all (24) render files work perfectly live right now. fog render ground.xml and urban dust render drop.xml don´t work.
watertune.xml and vfxlightningsettings.xml are also fully live editable now.
Misc Tab
live edit sirens carcols.ymt
Important Note: Starting with Version 3.0, opening the menu for the first time will take about 10 seconds.
Import Guide

Fixes and UI Tweaks
Changelog 2.0
Added Timecycle Mods Editor
Warning: only mess with Timecycle Mods if you know what you're doing. These files control interiors, special FX, cameras, and missions. A tiny tweak can completely blow out the visuals.
Quick tip for switching modifiers always toggle the new one on before tweaking it. The tool only previews one modifier at a time to keep your visuals from getting mixed up. Your previous edits stay in the background.
Live Preview vs. Export the live preview forces the modifier to show up around you, so it might look broader than the actual game result (GTA normally blends these dynamically via rooms or scripts).
Visualsettings Notes
Advanced Timecycle Editor for GTA 5 Enhanced
This is an in-game visual editor that lets you tweak timecycle .xml files and visualsettings.dat while the game is running.
Timecycles
Visualsettings
Install
drop the .asi into your GTA 5 Enhanced main directory. F9 opens the menu.
Right now, there is no automatic region detection. Use the tool to teleport to URBAN or GLOBAL first, just to be sure your location matches the editor.
Requirements
Compatibility
This build was made and tested specifically for GTA 5 Enhanced version 1.0.1013.34. Because this tool relies on heavy live memory hooking, a Rockstar update will likely break some runtime features. If that happens, I'll look into it and push an update.
Development & Bugs
Built using Dear ImGui, MinHook, and ScriptHookV by Alexander Blade.
Building this required a ton of Ghidra and IDA analysis, CE tests, memory debugging, and failing a lot.
Bugs are possible! If something loads wrong, exports wrong, causes huge FPS drops, or behaves strangely, let me know what file you used, what you changed, and what happened.
Use WinMerge to verify that your changes exported correctly.
Redistribution of this tool is not allowed without my permission.
- updated for 1.0.1158.16
Changelog 4.2
- fixed a stupid mistake where I completely missed that timecycle_mods_1.xml got changed in the last update
- the ATE folder is now created right inside the Enhanced game directory. Delete your old ATE folder from Documents (or wherever you kept it)
- fixed slow response times across all four timecycle mod files
- further reduced stuttering while the tool is open and when making multiple live tweaks
- a few other minor things I forgot
Important Note regarding visual mods
- make sure to load custom files alongside the clean vanilla version in your References folder
- all files supported by the editor must be completely vanilla inside mods/onigiri. You cannot have the exact same custom files actively running in game via OpenRPF.asi or onigiri.asi and load them from ATE imports at the same time
- Why? The mod loader has already altered the file's runtime base, while ATE is trying to additionally resolve, compare, and live edit that exact same data. Doing this will tank your FPS and your visual changes simply won't show up.
I haven't found a better way to handle this yet..so this is the workaround for now!
final note: you still need the reference files for Weather Render Files if you want to use the before/after

Visualsettings Notes
- I kept a few entries out for now (Ausgeschlossen). Some use shared memory addresses or packed data, making live edits unpredictable. I'll bring them back once they're solid.
- Getting an ImGui warning on some DOF values? Ignore it. Rockstar left duplicates in the vanilla file, so the tool is working fine.
- Some effects are heavily tied to the current game state. For example, if you edit vehicle headlight values during daylight, the game might actually turn the headlights off completely. Gta dynamically controls these lights based on time of day, weather, or vehicle state. So if an effect suddenly disappears while you are tweaking it, the parameter isn't broken, the game engine is just overriding it at that moment.

- compare changes live (before and after)
- preserve original order and unsupported extra entries (hidden custom parameters are safely preserved but remain uneditable)

After installing this, the image of my game turned into a complete mess. Even though I deleted it, it still stayed the same. Users who don't know about it should not install it at all.
please add color wheel back bro
@vorn forgot why I removed it, was probably bugged. In the next update.
@Koukol thank you bro i appreciate <3
Lacks color picker which is very simple to implement, playing with the RGB values is highly inefficient.
Also I've noticed an issue/bug: I have clear and neutral weather files which are identical, however while using editor they look quite different, I guess there's some blending going on and the Imported files doesn't fully override the timecycle.
@ExacoMvm clear and neutral are not identical files in vanilla..that means that at least one of yours is a custom file, which means you will need references for it. weather.xml file that has an impact on the weather as well.
The mod is very helpful,i think a full tutorial should be great to dont lost the potential of this mod,great mod so far
@The Old CJ glad to hear that! This is primarily a dev tool and they generally don't need a tutorial for this kind of thing..almost all the questions I get here and on Discord are just beginner questions that an actual dev wouldn't ask. Making a video tutorial myself is completely out of the question, but if you are up for it, I'd seriously appreciate it if you wanted to take that on yourself!
but even everytool use a guide,i already have experience editing timecycle but there are options that are weird to me or at the last i dont even know what supposed to do that,but editing (the most basic thing) is not bad,i will check discord soon thanks for you answer and this incredible helpful tool ;))
this editor needs an update. Maybe today.
@The Old CJ which options are weird?
@Koukol i said "weird to me" like why sometimes get dark when i choose a hour,in specific wheater the option no rain,dont work,etc... but i think i need check the tool in deep
@The Old CJ I didn't mean to come off as rude when I asked, I was just curious..just tested it myself and couldn't replicate the issue where it gets dark when selecting a specific time. As for the no_rain parameter, you can't use it to turn off the rain..changing it doesn't make any difference so it might be deactivated (you can test this in your mods folder). If you want to remove the rain completely, you have to set the "Rain value" to 0 in the weather.xml!
@Koukol Oh no no im not trying to sound rude my apologize haha just trying to explain,sorry for the misunderstanding bro
The mouse cursor isn't working, it's just twitching stupidly in the center.
@BDT86 The problem is on your end, not with ATE! You probably have a conflicting mod installed.
@Koukol It’s sad that the “author” doesn’t know… You need to enable RAW input for the mouse in the game settings.
@BDT86 fair point! But that behavior is very similar to what happens with conflicting mods. 90% of the reports
@Koukol Hi! I’m using GTA V Enhanced and I’d like to completely remove fog from the game.
Is it possible to disable fog entirely using Advanced Timecycle Editor? If so, could you please explain which settings or parameters I need to change to achieve this without causing visual artifacts or performance issues?
Thank you!
@AliG_15 Hello! Yes, I think it´s just fog density and fog haze density to 0. You have to check..good luck!
