Dynamic Plate Generator is a lightweight C++ ASI mod for Grand Theft Auto V / LSPDFR that dynamically generates license plates using customizable formats defined in an .ini configuration file.
Unlike mods that rely on a fixed set of predefined plate styles, Dynamic Plate Generator allows you to create as many custom plate formats as you want, with a maximum plate length of 8 characters.
Whether you want realistic American-style plates, fictional state plates, European-inspired formats, police/government plates, or completely custom designs, you can define them yourself.

How It Works
Dynamic Plate Generator uses simple pattern characters to determine how license plates are generated.
Each format is defined using:

How It Works
Dynamic Plate Generator uses simple pattern characters to determine how license plates are generated.
Each format is defined using:

You are not limited to the four formats included in the default configuration.
You can add as many formats as you want.

Character Limit
GTA V license plates have a maximum length of 8 characters.
Keep this limitation in mind when creating custom formats.
For example:
Format_1 = @@@-####
is valid because it contains 8 characters:
ABC 4821
Whereas a format exceeding the game's plate length may not display correctly.
Recommended
Always keep your complete format within the GTA V 8-character limit.

Installation Steps
• Download the latest release of Dynamic Plate Generator.
• Extract the downloaded archive.
• Copy the mod files (DynamicPlateGenerator.asi & DynamicPlateGenerator.ini) into your GTA V main directory.
• Make sure the .asi file is located in the GTA V root directory alongside your other ASI plugins.
• Launch GTA V.
• The mod will automatically load through the ASI loader.
• Open the included .ini file to customize your license plate formats.

Compatibility
Dynamic Plate Generator is designed for use with GTA V and is particularly useful for LSPDFR / police roleplay setups.
It can be used alongside other GTA V mods that do not directly conflict with vehicle license plate generation.
If another vehicle or license plate modification is attempting to control the same plate functionality, compatibility may vary.
Known Limitations
GTA V license plates are limited to 8 characters.
The appearance of the generated plate is still determined by the vehicle's installed plate style/model.

Mods that independently modify or replace license plate generation may conflict with Dynamic Plate Generator.

Awesome mod! However, when I spawn my saved vehicle through a trainer, it doesn't spawn with the set plate letters and numbers. And what would be an awesome feature to be added would be to set format for specific plates, for example: the SA exempt plate to have format like "123ABC1" and like the default plate have a format of "1ABC123" if you know what i meant.
Add an option for this mod to not affects vehicles with vanilla unique plates

Great mod, very useful! I would like to have an option for setting a format to an specific license plate model, like one for the standard one, one for the blue plate, other for the black plate, other for the SA Exempt and so on.

@beadmirable So if I put a - before #@@@### that will add a space? The characters don't appear to be centered on the plate. This combination I'm using is the standard in California.
@IreBurn The maximum limit for Characters is only 8. The reason it is not centering because "-" occupied one Character as Space. Why do you need Space before? You can simply use #@@@###, then it will be centered.
@beadmirable #@@@### is what I'm currently using and it appears to be off center. More on the left side of the plate than the right. Just a minor niggle.
@IreBurn I have checked it and you're right about it. Technically the issue is not my mod but the GTAV default License Characters Alignment to Left. I will see if there is a way to fix it in future updates. Until then you have to put a separator in between, as it won't look center if you put separator at beginning or end.

liking this mod so far, though i have to ask, as someone who loves a mod such as UnitedPlates, would it possible to have a way to allow spacing for particular licence plates without it affecting the original plates at all? For example, add-on Leonida/Florida plates that allow to have the spacing for them while having the default San Andreas plates remain completely untouched?
