NaturalVision ✪ Photorealistic GTA V 2.2

High-Resolution Image Gallery

NaturalVision is the result of greatly utilizing ReShade, ENB, VisualSettings and TimeCycle files in combination with the VisualV mod. The goal was to try and make GTA5 look as photorealistic as possible. Over 400 hours of work was put into Version 2.0, which is a complete overhaul of the original mod.

Although this was built on top of VisualV's files, there have been numerous changes made to the environmental weathers, lighting, timecycle and colors in order to improve the aspect of realism. The tonemapping has also been adjusted through VisualSettings and ReShade to try and mimic how we view the real world through our eyes.

Please leave your feedback in the comments section.

This mod requires VisualV in order to properly work.
You can download it at this link.
Install guide is included in the super detailed "README" file within the download.

Currently available in English, Russian and German but additional language support will be added soon.

Please read everything carefully in the readme before commenting about an issue. There is a good amount of useful information in there that should help you troubleshoot your issues and also answer your questions.

In regards to minimum or maximum specs:
The only thing that matters is how you run currently run GTAV without mods and the FPS you're averaging. Take that and subtract the framerate by 5 or 10, depending on which version you decide to use.

- Updated the README with new instructions (Step 4 and Step 5)
- Modified sky / fog colors in ExtraSunny and Clear weather
- Tweaked directional lighting to provide a warmer feel during daytime
- New night time lighting in all weathers
- Fixed Deband ReShade issue causing night time to be pitch black in certain areas
- Adjusted traffic light corona size for more visibility during daytime
- Increased wind in Rain and Thunder weathers
- Adjusted the type of Clouds appearing in-game
- Recreated the Main ReShade Preset from scratch. Balanced and performance friendly.
- Various ENB and visualsettings lighting tweaks

@martinlm Maybe it's not working because you updated your game and ScriptHook is causing a crash?

@Tornado '92 Don't worry, I am not halting development. Everything is still on schedule but may be pushed back a little, depending on what happens during the next few days / weeks. I have a decent backup plan to bring the mod to users who are not able to use OpenIV but it will require Scripthook, so that needs to be updated. My last resort plan involves piracy and some more work but hopefully we don't have to go that route.

The biggest issue is that a lot of users keep updating their game and even though OpenIV still works, Rockstar can easily change something in a future update to prevent the program from working with newer versions of GTAV. At that point, we'll require downgrading software just to run modded content (see GTAIV) and it makes the entire install process more complicated than necessary.

My advice for everyone is to make two copies of your game. Keep track of when a new GTA Online update is about to hit. On that day, rename your main GTAV folder to something else and name the backup folder to what the main folder was originally called. Then run the updater. I do this on steam and let it update my backup version, then I switch the folder names again and run my modded copy. This lets me play without worrying about updates that interfere with Scripthook or OpenIV. Problem is that casual consumers who are looking for a simple way to mod their game won't bother to go through this process.

TL;DR = We all need to wait and see what happens next.

@Reyser @Razed I have made an open iv package installer that downgrades your game to version 1032. I have tested it and it worked. I just don't know how to publish it on this website because it is 800mb in size. So I can't upload it here.

@Unloaded4 If it includes original game files, then it won't be allowed here. Also, this is a bit offtopic, better ask it in Forums.

@enjoythekilling @tdk01 @raburs Thanks for commenting. NaturalVision Remastered will be released in July, despite Scripthook being updated. Everything is practically complete. I'm just building a new readme and cleaning things up. The person creating the NVR cinematic gameplay trailer also needs another week or two to finish his work. I hope you guys understand.

makes standard gta v look dated in comparison :P also one thing i noticed is that a lot of the videos showcase the city being lit mainly orange/yellow while on my install there's a lot of white light in areas. just doesn't fit with the sodium-yellow light fixtures e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJnbtWj8PL4 at the start of that video it's literally all orange, while this is a screen of my install where the abundance of orange light is visibly less intense: http://imgur.com/a/GDmlP, are they using a different preset? just like the nostalgic look of orange light, what with all the horrible new LEDs being installed now.

@enjoythekilling I will update this page.

@KiIIstreak Probably not with the current version since ReShade hurts... but with NV Remastered you'll be fine.

@halowraith1 Please wait for the big update which fixes and improves all that stuff.

@erniewatson1 I use his explosion mod already and it's the best one out there. It will be on the list of recommended mods to grab.
    Btw check this out: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=948085473
