INSTALL GUIDE VIDEO

NaturalVision is the result of greatly utilizing ReShade, ENB, VisualSettings and TimeCycle files in combination with the VisualV mod. The goal was to try and make GTA5 look as photorealistic as possible. Over 400 hours of work was put into Version 2.0, which is a complete overhaul of the original mod.

Although this was built on top of VisualV's files, there have been numerous changes made to the environmental weathers, lighting, timecycle and colors in order to improve the aspect of realism. The tonemapping has also been adjusted through VisualSettings and ReShade to try and mimic how we view the real world through our eyes.

Please leave your feedback in the comments section.

This mod requires VisualV in order to properly work.
You can download it at this link.

Install guide is included in the super detailed "README" file within the download.

Currently available in English, Russian and German but additional language support will be added soon.

Please read everything carefully in the readme before commenting about an issue. There is a good amount of useful information in there that should help you troubleshoot your issues and also answer your questions.

In regards to minimum or maximum specs:
The only thing that matters is how you run currently run GTAV without mods and the FPS you're averaging. Take that and subtract the framerate by 5 or 10, depending on which version you decide to use.

NaturalVision 2.2 is finally out! I highly recommended upgrading to this version, as it fixes a lot of things and looks much better. If I sent you a beta version at any point in time, then please update your copy.

There are new install instructions and *everyone* will need to follow them. Go over the readme carefully, it's very detailed.

Feel free to leave feedback in the comments section. I try to read and respond to all feedback.

I don't have any big updates planned at the time but I'm willing to fix bugs etc.

    v2.2 Changelog:
    - Updated the README with new instructions (Step 4 and Step 5)
    - Modified sky / fog colors in ExtraSunny and Clear weather
    - Tweaked directional lighting to provider a warmer feel during daytime
    - New night time lighting in all weathers
    - Fixed Deband ReShade issue causing night time to be pitch black in certain areas
    - Adjusted traffic light corona size for more visibility during daytime
    - Increased wind in Rain and Thunder weathers
    - Adjusted the type of Clouds appearing in-game
    - Recreated the Main ReShade Preset from scratch. Balanced and performance friendly.
    - Various ENB and visualsettings lighting tweaks

As you can see from the changelog above, this update is the best one yet. I hope everyone likes it and thanks again for 100k+ downloads. I appreciate every compliment received. Also big thanks to @Frazzlee and the VisualV team for their continued work.

@mips Is this with reshade? I mean, the reshade is quite heavy if you don't use the performance preset. You still press scroll-lock to disable it. Between 2.0 and 2.2, I didn't really change anything that would cause such a performance decrease. Also thank you for linking the gsys xenon launcher. Currently I am permabanned from GTA Online but once I find time to make a new account I'll be sure to try it.

@CheekiBreeki92 Are you on Windows 10 and did you recently update? The new system update is hurting multi-monitor setups and might be causing it. I doubt it's NV on its own as there is no way it will cripple your GPU usage and cause it to run at 50%.

On a sidenote, this next update is really coming along great. No release date yet, it will take some time to finish. I am sorry for disappointing some of you with the previous 2.0 updates. None of my beta testers told me about the sky colors being fucked and I got a bit too carried away while playing with new settings that I discovered. Another bad habit of mine is tweaking timecycle while I have ReShade and ENB toggled on. I am not doing that this time around. We live and learn :)

@Razed That's what I thought, but I had a doubt because you also have to put them in the folder :-)

@Razed Yes this is with reshade using the performance preset, I don't recall having such a big dip with it before. scroll lock brings up the reshade menu, is there a menu option to disable it that I maybe missed?

@Razed I have Win10 updated yes, but I use a single monitor (1920x1200), i don't have problems with other games, and even with NaturalVision 1.4 I didn't have problems, I followed the instructions line by line so it's pretty weird, maybe redownloading and reinstalling the game it will work :/
By the way nice work man, I really appreciate it ;)

@mips In the settings tab for ReShade, you can set a key under the "Effects Toggle" area. This will let you enable or disable reshade on the fly.

@CheekiBreeki92 Keep me updated on a clean install, hopefully it helps.

@Orangade Dunno, that could stem from a corrupt vehicle/texture mod or something else. You should probably think about all the new mods you've installed recently and then remove them.

@Razed Are you working on a new update?
Just keep in mind those things:
When it's raining, it looks a little bit wash out,idk why..
It will not be bad if you will touch again the night to feel more like in real life
The thunders lighting as I mentioned earlier
And make the colors a little bit more realistic(i know you are working on this ofc) BUT in the same time keep an enjoyable feeling. Not too strong shadows, or saturation etc

    @ShakeZone
The night circle should no longer be adapted to the realism. It be more realistic, but it hinders the game
It should still be playable in the night

@razed No offense, but I think your so called read me file lacks any clarity. You talk about extracting NV to the desktop...I did, then openiv install....I did. Then VisualV install OIV was brought up, ok...Done. Then it turns to crap. Why would you bring up the Earths atmosphere? Why would anyone install it to begin with at that point? What about those other options in there? Are they supposed to be installed before the next step? You didn't mention it, so therefore why would you talk about earths atmosphere? To get the look of your mod are those other options supposed to be installed at the same time as VisualV, or later. Never once did you bring them up as when you should apply any optionals. Some of those files would overwrite yours, are they suppose to? Or do you files overwrite them...if so, what would be the point of installing them to begin with. Not trying to be a jerk, but you need more clarification on specifics. Don't assume people know this stuff.

    @mrbloak
    Well, to get it
It seems as if they all understood.
    It is self-explanatory.

These options are freely selectable and have with the main installation hardly anything to do

@Skîdrow They? Not really. You didnt spend to much time to read my message. To get that exact look on the video requires other steps. I have done it EXACTLY the way it has been explained minus optionals and do not get that look. My specs are fine....I have pretty top crap. I want to know what I ask, plus does that video have any optionals, plus with the scroll lock option that comes up during the game, what settings does the author have on them? To many missing things, even if the answer is no. It would be nice to have an included n ote saying "No options are added, and no adjustments were made to reshade in game menu" if that was the case, and if its not, then what changes were made to g\t the desired look of that video example.

    @mrblaok
    Yes, it's me
I have read their message and have answered as soon as possible. I am aware that they want answers to their question, and the question has not gone to me.

The readme file is in many as well as in my eyes very detailed.

I speak for myself that I have all the functions and look of Razed.
I have tested and tried a lot. Very many attitudes and possibility in consideration that it looks as it is now.

I have no 30 minutes for the complete installation of the mod NaturalVision 2.2
And it looks exactly the same.

Maybe you have forgotten something or other mods in the root folder that prevents this

I suspect you are not the only one with this question and can only speak from my point of view.

I hope that I have not attacked you with this statement

maybe a dumb question but does this mod include or inject any type of AA? or do i just enable it in game still?

  • Default

@Sh1vers there's an SMAA option in the reshade menu you can toggle on or off. I've disable AA from the ingame settings (fxaa is crap & msaa eats fps for breakfast) and just enabled smaa in the reshade menu and it looks good & eats very little fps.

@mrblaok Nowhere does the guide tell you to install the optional stuff from visualv, the warning is there for people that want to tinker not to install that particular option as it will screw things up. Follow the guide to the letter and you will be fine as it tells you exactly what to install.
