Better Surrender
Stand still, unarmed, where an officer can see you, and the police walk up and arrest you instead of shooting. There is no key to press - you surrender by doing what a person actually does, stopping and showing empty hands. It works on foot and in a vehicle, at every wanted level.
How it plays
While you are surrendering the mod holds your wanted level at one star, which is the level the police make arrests at. NOOSE and military units that turned up at higher stars back off rather than walk over once it drops, so the mod picks an officer who can see you and orders the arrest directly, and keeps those units from firing while you stand there. Both are switches in the menu.
Mod data location
The log and BetterSurrender.ini live under your Windows user folder, in AppData/Roaming/GTA V Mods/KernelPryanic/BetterSurrender, and not in the game folder - GTA V Enhanced locks every file inside the game directory for the whole session. Open Data Folder in the Debug menu takes you there.

How it plays
- It starts when you are unarmed, stopped, wanted, and an officer within range can see you - held for a moment, so a red light or a brief stop against a wall doesn't trigger it
- Being shoved, tasered or dragged out of your car still counts as standing still, so the officer reaching you can't cancel their own approach
- It ends the instant you draw a weapon, sprint or drive off. Drifting or shuffling about takes a few seconds, so being jostled mid-arrest doesn't cost you the surrender
- Change your mind and your real wanted level comes straight back, along with the progress you had made towards the next star. The chase resumes where it left off
- Getting arrested still costs you the bust, so this is a way out of a chase rather than a way out of the consequences

@Amaar Ahmad yes, any unit type should be able to arrest you now
@null_pointer just like GTA IV and the older games
@null_pointer you know you should add screenshots of the other units arresting
@Amaar Ahmad good idea, I was releasing updates to all my mods yesterday and didn't spend enough time on screenshots, will probably do that today :)
@null_pointer what i know is noose isnt police theyre the national office of security enforcement in gta iv is more accurate because it says noose on back of their clothing in gta v isnt accurate
@null_pointer also the military can also bust the player without this mod but its very rare it includes needing invincibility for it to work
