This mod is a lite version of the original PedHostages 2025 [RPH] made for ScriptHook.
PedHostagesLite was made for Legacy but also supports Enhanced(!), although it was only tested on Legacy, so no guarantee.
How to use:
Aim at a ped you want to take hostage and hold Y (A on controller). You can then manage them by pressing NumPad0 (PadDown on controller). Everything you can do with the hostage can be done through that menu. Hotkeys / Controller buttons can be configured in the .ini file.

Make sure to always cuff and/or make them kneel if you intend to leave them somewehere or else they will start fleeing!
Same goes for giving them weapons:
Make sure to show dominance by holding a weapon around them or they might start revolting against you!
(Fleeing and revolting against you can be turned off in the .ini file)
Requirements:
Make sure you always have the latest version of all of them!
Installation:
Make sure all requirements are met!
Copy everything from "mod files" into GTA V/scripts.

@LouiDev thanks man, everytime i aim at a ped they just run for their lives. Anything i can do to stop that?
@mitto_backup you can sneak up behind them. Whenever you are not in their sight, it‘s the easiest
I found 2 bugs
1. The option to change weapons does not work properly, only once I managed to force the NPC to change
2. Sometimes it happens that NPCs enter escape mode and run away from the player and do not respond to commands.
Can you fix this?
@_TheDracarys_ thank you for letting me know!
1. Peds will always automatically choose the best weapon at their disposal. The mod gives them an ak and a smg by default, so that‘s probanly the reason why you don’t see them using other weapons.
2. When exactly does this happen? Literally at random or when f.e. you aim a weapon at them, or they are following, or defending, etc.
This usually happens after a longer period of time.
For example, I took 2 npcs with me, gave them weapons and set them to defend mode and went to cause chaos and after about half an hour when some npc started shooting my hostage got scared and ran away.
I edited the pedhealth file so that npcs had more hp otherwise it's hard to test it.
Add the immortality option for hostages.

@Torus LemonUi currently crashes enhanced, so prob. in the future
do i put it in the directory or scripts folder
it's strange how this mod only works on 1 particular version of dotnet, even if i roll back 1 version if fails to load. This is abit of a shame b/c Version=3.7.0.26 as a whole just seems unstable. .25 nightly is much better
@mitto_backup the mod was made with nightly v26 meaning it will only ever run on v26 or higher. I might revert it back to older ones. Which is the currently mos commonly used?
Can you make the options be keybinds on the bottom right instead of options? It'd feel a bit more immersive, otherwise the mod is really good
