@Alweul CC. Will do. What's your timezone? (I'm GMT+1).
@Pslytely Psycho Thanks for feeding my questions these last two days. To answer yours. Yes, there's no difference in functionality copying unmodded dlcs into .\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\%dlcname% against not doing it. At least none that I've found (but then I'm sure I haven't seen everything GTR has to offer) and so I decided to ask. Keep up the good work!
Speaking of which, that goes for all those involved in this project. Thank you for your contribution.
@Pslytely Psycho I'll try to visualize the debate. Hope "we're" not boring anyone although I suspect that's more than likely the case xD
.\mods\update\update.rpf <<< GTR contents of update.rpf go into update.rpf
.\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\realism\dlc.rpf <<< GTR realism dlc goes here
^^^ No other unmodded stock dlc packages necessary. Game reads modded dlc.rpf. Any other unmodded dlcs are called from the default ".\update\x64\dlcpacks\%dlcname\" folder. This is what I'm saying.
.\mods\update\update.rpf <<< GTR contents of update.rpf go into update.rpf
.\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\realism\dlc.rpf <<< GTR realism dlc goes here
.\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpapartment\dlc.rpf <<< Stock unmodded RS dlc
.\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpchristmas2\dlc.rpf <<< Stock unmodded RS dlc
etc
^^^ all additional unmodded Stock RS dlcs required to be placed into ".\mods\update\x64\%dlcname%\dlc.rpf" because a modded game only reads one update folder. This is what it seems you're saying.
@Pslytely Psycho Lol - totally confused now. I thought we both came to the conclusion that only modded dlc rpfs needed to be in the mods folder and anything else needed is used from the standard RS update structure. Now you're repeating what you initially said. So does this only pertain to anything in the update folder (ie DLCs) or does this also include the root x64 folder should I mod any files therein? If so, what about root rpf files such as x64a.rpf. If I modded something in there would I also need to include all the other x64#.rpf files in the mods folder? Is there any kind of documentation chiseled in stone which I can pull? Storage is cheap but still.
@mkeezay30 mentioned above that the only reason he copied all the different DLCs in the training vid was because he found it easier (not due to necessity).
Anyway, have a good weeDend and don't smoke too many tires ;)
@mkeezay30 I'm getting a persistent "[ERROR:] no translation" message on screen, right above the left hand mini map on screen when running this. Seems to be one of the scripts (if I remove them the message goes away). Ever seen this? Game wise, nothing's acting up and everything's fine.
@Pslytely Psycho Right. lol. Confusion was almost complete. Was just going to ask if I could have some of what you're having ;) Anyway, good to know that I haven't "been doing it wrong" all these months. Still begs the question of why the video tutorial shows all dlcpacks being copied into mods folder.
@Pslytely Psycho I was always under the impression that only modded rpf files, and the equivalant RS folder structure, needed to be placed into a mods folder as anything not there is called upon within the standard RS folder. So similarly, for example, any rpf file moddified, in say x64\audio\sfx\resident.rpf, would require that the complete x64 folder, including all subdirectories and other unmodded rpf files, be copied into the mods folder?
@lazylefts I did some heavy bugstomping with dilapidated last year in september about that exact bug in 0.6.2. Narrowed it down to 2 files. trains.xml + traintracks.xml. Temporarily remove those two and you should be good.
@Alweul About the weapon dropping bug, possible fourth option? A minimum of 1 round is alloted to any projectile weapon alleviating options 1 and 2.
If not, I'd vote for 3.

@Alweul Sure, I could do a regional translation. I'm running a german system with GTA in english. Just let me know what I need to do.

Interesting.
@mkeezay30 Is it really necessary to copy all original dlcpacks into the mods folder as shown in the training video?
