@EnRo You didn't replace all the files properly so the car in your vid looks, sounds and drives nothing like the car is supposed to. It is only supposed to spawn in matte white so you can see the livery properly and you are supposed to choose the livery color yourself before installing. The speedometer also works if you install all the files properly. Thanks for the video but it looks nothing like the car does when you install it right.
@hadinajafi77 The speedometer works if you replace the right car
@Greenaid A guy just requested I make a handling for this car but it looks like it could use some work too, you should fix this thing up a bit and turn it into an add on.
@satyricon84 Sure thing =) it might take me a few days though.
@henri8456 Thanks, I would have uploaded it in the paintjobs section but we don't have a police version of the car yet
@carface80 Thanks a lot, I would really appreciate that =)
@carface80 Yeah I love old chase movies, they heavily influenced my taste in cars growing up.
I just finished making some realistic edits to the handling for this car, I was going to upload it as a separate mod for now but you are welcome to use it in a future update if you like.
I made four different versions, 225 Slant Six, 318 2 barrel, 360 4 barrel and 360 4 Barrel police package. Each handling has accurate 0-60 time, accurate 0-100 time and accurate quarter mile times.
The slant six has an absurdly high 0-60 time of roughly 21 seconds and is unable to reach 100 mph on flat ground. The 318 2 barrel has a 0-60 time of about 13 seconds, reaches 100 MPH in about 61 seconds and does the quarter mile in about 19.5 seconds. The 360 Police Package much better performance with a 0-60 time of about 10 seconds, it reaches 100 mph in about 34 seconds and it does the quarter mile in about 18 seconds. Obviously the police package has slightly better brakes and suspension than the civilian models and my handling edits reflect this as well.
@carface80 @John Lemon I couldn't agree more, I know what it's like to put a lot of effort into something and see it go virtually unrecognized and it really ticks me off to see so many ass kissers on this site telling people "how much they love their models" when the person they are talking to didn't even make the car. You may not know it Carface but I've done a lot of bragging about you to other people. I've never seen better scratch made vehicles before, you put all these rippers and converters to shame lol.
@carface80 Yeah I replaced that spark control crap with an MSD 6AL2 in my 74 Valiant, much better mileage, performance and reliability(knock on wood). And yes the 4 barrel police package engines had better flowing factory heads from the 360. I actually have a set of those exact heads I'm saving for a future 318 build, I'm a big Mopar nut in case you haven't noticed lol. From what I understand the 318 with forged steel crank and cast iron 360 heads was the base engine for the police package and the slant 6 was available for larger more congested cities concerned with MPG and the 360 was available for highway patrol/state police units that needed extra power. The police package also offered a slightly better 2.90 rear axle ratio than the civilian models but departments could order the standard 2.25 ratio for fuel economy. https://www.allpar.com/squads/diplomat.html
