@0H0K I'm sorry, but in my opinion you shouldn't use mods, if you can't even install an OIV file. But if you really wanna try, open OpenIV, click on Tools -> Package Installer, then choose the file, that you downloaded, and install it into the 'mods' folder.
@KoingWolf You can make any texture mod compatible with another. Sometimes it sucks and you need to use photoshop. Check the file names, and if some names from this mod is the same from another mod, you need to choose which one you want to keep, OR as I mentioned, you can mix the textures with photoshop.
