Version Updates 1.1.1-B
- Now works with both the Legacy and Enhanced versions of the game.
- Fixed an issue where settings were not saving.
- Implemented detection settings: when wearing a helmet or mask while on foot, cops will not recognize you. Bandana support is coming in the next update.
- IMPORTANT NOTE!!! - If you are in a vehicle that has an active warrant, cops can still recognize you even if you are wearing a helmet or mask. However, if you are on foot while wearing a helmet or mask, cops will not recognize you.
A modern and expandable police pursuit system for GTA V Singleplayer.
Tired of GTA V police responding to every situation with the same level of aggression?
BetterChaseRemade transforms the standard wanted system into a progressive law-enforcement experience where police response changes based on your actions during a pursuit.
Police begin with a controlled response and gradually escalate their tactics when you continue fleeing, drive recklessly, attack civilians, assault officers, use weapons or commit more serious crimes.
Instead of every chase immediately becoming a full-scale shootout, police must receive authorization before using PIT maneuvers or lethal force.
Credits and Project Information
BetterChaseRemade is a fan-made continuation, modernization and expansion of Better Chases+, originally created by Daimian.
Daimian's Better Chases+ was itself a continuation of the original Better Chases and Arrest Warrants projects created by Eddlm and Guadmaz.
BetterChaseRemade uses the existing Better Chases+ codebase as its foundation.
The project is being updated, expanded and modernized to support LemonUI and the ScriptHookVDotNet 3 Nightly framework instead of the original NativeUI configuration system.
Better Chases+ has been one of the most important police gameplay modifications created for GTA V. BetterChaseRemade exists to preserve and continue that experience with a modern menu framework, updated script support, expanded configuration and continued maintenance.
This project would not exist without the original work completed by Daimian, Eddlm and Guadmaz.
All credit for the original concepts, systems, design and code foundation belongs to their respective creators.

@trieuduong649 if you use SHVDN3 nightly of Enhance try and see it it work on that game version and let me know
Преди 1 ден -
@FlareXll ok ill give it a shot, cuz im currently using this mod on legacy and it works very well. and i am also planning to switch to the enhanced version
Преди 1 ден -
@@FlareXll , after installing the game works fucking well bro, but the enhanced version requires "Script Hook V .NET Enhanced" to run well and i do not download the Nightly one as you aforementioned, i really love this mod cuz it allows me to disable the annoying fucking massive HUD such as: VEHICLE IDENTIFIED, ESCAPED OR DEADLY FORCE AUTHORIZED. I really appreciate the amount of time u spent on this and your dedication lil bro. I wonder if i could permanently disable the big message, cuz its too annoying
Преди 1 ден -
i am current working on some update and testing also will make a second version using SHVDN Enhanced and i do appreciate your feed back i will look into the menu settings of disabling to big message you can try look in the menu if you can if not i will implement it
Преди 1 ден -
@FlareXII Thanks so much! The mod is nearly perfect. I configured the BetterChaseRemade.xml file (generated after running the mod) and changed options like ShowBigMessages, ShowNotifications, and DisplayHints to false. However, the large messages still appear in-game.
If possible, could you also add an option to permanently disable those big centered messages? They’re the only thing that feels a bit distracting during gameplay.
But no worries at all, lil bro. Take your time—I really appreciate all the work you’ve put into this mod, and I’ll patiently wait for the next update. Keep up the amazing work! 🤍
Преди 1 ден -
@FlareXII
bonus:
I found something that might help. When I disable “Show Big Messages” from the F7 menu, it works correctly during the current session. However, after closing and restarting the game, the setting resets and the big messages appear again, even though the XML file still shows ShowBigMessages=false. It seems like the setting isn’t being loaded correctly after restarting the game.

@FlareXll can confirm after reinstalling mod and rechecking scripthook your setting document doesnt save and i think its because the save and load functions dont work the warrant part of that menu does but theres no sign of anything happening when clicking save or load settings but like said the mod has amazing function the hud and notifications are just very intrusive and its a lil annoying to have to turn them off each run Looking forward to updates
Преди 1 ден -
@voodoodres yes i know i am working on the save just hang in there update coming soon
Преди 1 ден -
@trieuduong649 that will be fix in the update @voodoodres did already mention this it will be fix in the next update
Преди 1 ден -
Love to see this, there was always one thing of the original arrest warrant that bothered me, and it is that cops can recognize the player even when they are just crashing in the cars back and not even seeing his face.
Would love to see the implementation of this native: IS_PED_FACING_PED
as a requirement to be recognized because, just crashing into the back of a car and seeing a guys neck I don't think should be enough for that
Преди 1 ден -
@thalilmythos Thanks bro i am woking on improving it really so i currently taking request on how it can improve i will sure to implement this on next update.
Преди 1 ден -
@FlareXll Saving now works!!!!! havent been able to test mask/helmet stuff to well yet. first and only noticeable issue is the extra bust doesnt seem to work anymore. great work tho mp respawn feature now lifts warrant on respawn which wasnt happening before. bug where every death became a busted no longer occurs if arrested at 1 star i assume it would do the same if extra bust feature was working
преди 22 часа -
@voodoodres Extra bust yes i notice i am woking on that plus other features coming so updates is ongoing just tell me when a bugs is found and i will work on it
преди 22 часа -
@FlareXII Confirmed! The issue has been fixed. Thank you so much for the quick update. Everything works perfectly now. i love you, ur such a great modder

Hi! Having trouble installing this mod on Enhanced version. I have extracted the files from the mod, from the LemonUI you provided and I have ScriptHookVDotNet 3 (alongside 2 and 1).
ScriptHookVDotNet 3 is located in the game directory and I have Better Chase files in my scripts folder. I tried putting LemonUI SHVDN 3 into scripts folder and game directory folder and nothing happens either way. Can you help me which files to put where? Do I have to maybe delete ScriptHookVDotNet and ScriptHookVDotNet 2 by any chance? ScriptHookV is installed normally.преди 11 часа -
@trieuduong649 Thanks for confirming the fix! I’m glad everything is working as intended now. I really appreciate your feedback and support. Enjoy the mod!
