Subtitles Enhanced fixes the small and uncomfortable default subtitles in GTA V, significantly improving dialogue readability for 1080p, 1440p, and 4K displays.
Unlike basic font replacers, this mod modifies both frontend.xml and hud.gfx. This ensures subtitles are lifted off the bottom border and line-wrapping is corrected so lines never extend into or overlap the radar / minimap.

Requirements: OpenIV
INSTALLATION: GTA V ENHANCED (Next-Gen Edition)
Requirements: OpenIV, ZEnhanced, OpenRPF, and Script Hook V.
Uninstallation:
Restore your vanilla frontend.xml and hud.gfx via OpenIV, or simply delete the update.rpf from your mods folder.

INSTALLATION: GTA V LEGACY (Original Edition)
Requirements: OpenIV
- Disable BattlEye in the Rockstar Games Launcher settings (mod is strictly for Single Player).
- Open OpenIV, select Grand Theft Auto V - Windows, and turn on Edit Mode.
- Open ASI Manager (Tools - ASI Manager) and install both ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI.
- Go to the update folder in OpenIV, click on update.rpf, and select "Copy to 'mods' folder".
- Choose your preferred size folder and paste the files into OpenIV:
- Paste frontend.xml into: mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ui
- Paste hud.gfx into: mods/update/update.rpf/x64/data/cdimages/scaleform_generic.rpf
