## How to Use
Open the `.html` file in your browser, or use the online version.
Import your texture or image, select the desired DDS format or export format, choose your output resolution and mipmap settings, then export the result.
The tool can be used for both individual textures and batch processing.
## Keep Aspect Ratio
**Keep Aspect Ratio** is particularly useful when batch resizing textures with different dimensions.
For example, a texture may be **512×256** or **2048×1024** rather than a square resolution. Forcing these textures into a fixed **512×512** resolution would distort their proportions.
With Keep Aspect Ratio enabled, the original proportions are preserved while the texture is resized, making it safer for batch processing.
## Compatibility
The editor works on **Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android**.
On iOS, you can run the HTML version through a compatible code editor or HTML runner, or use the Web Version directly.
## Purpose
DDS Editor was created to make **game texture conversion, editing, and batch processing** easier.
It is particularly useful for GTA V modding, where `.dds` textures are commonly used. Whether you need to convert textures, change compression formats, resize a large number of files, generate mipmaps, or make basic image adjustments, everything can be handled from one tool.
