@Coolmanax Yeah, seems i should be more specific. All OpenIV mods like the peds and vehicles mods are working, openiv needs some previous steps like copy the update.rpf to the mod folder (this before modding). What i mean is that all this OpenIV based mods aren´t working with only replacing scripthookv to the new version (not .net). So best way is to post your log files or just install 1 by 1
@Coolmanax why are you saying that every vehicle or ped mod doesnt work? As i said, openiv needs a workaround for the peds and vehicles but its actually working, just read. Your statement of saying that .net is the cause is totally wrong, at least prove it with the log file. If .net is really the problem why for most people its working? We know that some mods stopped working but there were anothers that stopped even on the previous update. So this is something by ur side, if you dont want to test it 1 by 1 than its your problem, thinking that a update will solve all your problems is wrong. Just read all those fixes published on the last weeks and install the mods 1 by 1, when you see a mod non working go to their mod page and see if there is a fix. And if you still want to use a non working mod than just downgrade your gta to previous version.
@BigWhiskey Yeah, it would make sense when all people have problems but its working for me and for much more people. There are some mods causing the crashes, openiv for example needs some workarounds, the same for all peds and vehicle mods.
@MaoBao How are you so secure that "something is broken" on this script? If you have knowledge than hey, just download the source, its open to all people and just compile a new update yourself. Sorry to be rude but saying to someone that he is talking bs and have even no little idea of what are you talking about makes me angry. And this was not up to date, last update was on march and gta had 2-3 more updates since march. Why dont you post your log files? If you do it and ask friendly maybe someone can help you out but being rude is not the way.
@Coolmanax This is not true Coolmanax, as you can read on my previous reply some mods worked for me when i was testing it but others not. .net doesnt need to be updated every time the game has an update. Hell, look at the last update, it wasnt even the previous one. Why do you think they didnt updated .net ? Look at their github and you will find the answer, you can even go to the chat room with the devs and they will tell you the same thing. You should consider reporting to the non working mod authors.
They need to be updated but not all mods, many .net mods are working fine. Others need to be updated (the issue is not related with .net but its related to the last game update). For a little example, Bennys is one of these mods that aren´t working, the garage door is not painted and when you enter it its glitched but scripthook .net is loading the script without errors. When i use latest scripthook and .net and place the previous game update its working fine, so problems are with outdated mods. Maybe someone can fix them if they have a source. As said before, that only happens to some mods. Others are working fine. I was trying that when scripthook was updated to the last version but after spending a full day trying to fix myself some mods i give up and downgraded again to the 1.43 version of the game. GTA was never mod friendly and gets every time they update fcked up. Ive just switched again to a clean gta for online and skyrim for modding (this time on SSE xD). Maybe next GTA should be done by Bethesda xDDD
@IDarthVaderX1 The short answer is NO, .net doesn´t need an update. You can look over their github, in some closed threads they posted that it works perfect. So no, .net will not get any updates, same as last time. There is really nothing to update and nothing they can do, all crashes are mod related and not .net related.
I have no idea whats up on your installed GTA. It just runs fine for me and its the same way i used it all this years. Maybe you should start from the beginning and clean up your gta, make a full new installation. After that make a full backup with cleaned and working gta folder (without mods) and then apply only the downgrade without mods and test if it starts. If yes then install only scripthook v and .net without mods and try again. If it works add mods one by one and testing them. I cant help you much more as i dont know whats messed up on your gta installation. You will get errors sometimes on starting because it needs to connect sometimes to the rockstar servers to check if your game is legit. So having two shortcuts will be best way (offline and online, closing it fast when it says connected to rockstar servers to avoid updates).
If you have the commandline file delete it, i don´t know any other reasons. For me it always worked over this years on that way. I never used the commandline, its simplier to me using two shortcuts, one with and another without the command. Also have the other shortcut because sometimes gta prompts you to go online for checking your game, simply start the launcher and when it says that you are connected to the rockstar servers close the launcher (this way you can avoid updates like the last 1.44) and don´t fck up your mods (many mods are not working on last update and its not scripthook or .net problem, its a problem with specific mods itself because they are not updated to last libraries).
I add it to the desktop shortcut and it works fine. Here is how my shortcut looks like (under properties). Its in spanish but you can see where the scOfflineOnly command is
This is simple, just add -scOfflineOnly to the desktop shortcut entering in properties of the shortcut and in path after the full path and the " you add a space and -scOfflineOnly. Thats the way to start in offline mode, its also good to have two folders of gta, one for offline moded and other for online. Yeah many gb buts the best way because sometimes you have to go online because it needs to check if your game is legit.
