@halowraith1 Hello, I could definitely do that. Originally I had planned on having an option for it, but thought I would wait to see if anyone requested it first. Probably 1.2 will have it. Need to get lods figured out and any bugs dealt with in 1.1.
@Dabz Mcgentry It is my mod, I have confirmed that and I am now working on fixing it and adding LODs. should be updated soon with everything working properly!
@emme10 If you are referring to lights turning on/off when you walk/drive under them, that is related to the LightEntity line in the gameconfig file that you change.
For getting the game darker, it's simply a matter of turning the brightness down within game settings. I use VisualV and turn brightness to about 30%. Also keep in mind those screenshots have a rockstar editor filter applied to them, which may make them look even darker.
@Dabz Mcgentry Thanks for the bug reporting, I'll look into that.
The map of all areas with lighting is in the description..the picture is larger than the mod itself, so i just put a link to it in the description instead of including it in the download.
Uninstall is just reverse manual install, as you implied.
May be remaking the entire mod (for the third time) except using CodeWalker this time, so that should fix any problems plus the ability for LODs, just won't be for a while, but I'll look into that flash problem you are reporting.
@huffbunny Well I use VisualV, but the screenshots all have the Rockstar editor filter 'Night Moves' set to 40%. If you really wanted to though, you could use Screen Effects mod by LeeC2202 which allows you to apply any of those filters in-game and set the intensity as well. I can't find the mod here anymore, but here is a link to download it in case you want it:
@Suisei I have no idea what would be causing that...there is no 'invisible obstacle' in my game. I will ask someone else if they know what could be causing that but I don't think it's my mod. Are you using the full version or the light version?
New update v1.0 -
XML map files now converted to YMAP! No more loading times, FPS decrease or lights 'popping' in.
In terms of distant LOD's, however, there is currently no tool to automatically create an LOD file without manually inputting thousands of data entries...I don't really want to do that :/
As soon as I am able to add LOD's, the mod will be updated accordingly.
@CorpseGrinder Ya, I forgot to mention that part in my comment haha.
You need to edit the dlclist within OpenIV located here:
\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
extract the file to your desktop and open it with notepad.
Append the following line to the file:
dlcpacks:\custom_maps\

Save the file and replace the one in openiv with the one you just added the line to.
Hell yes! another amazing work by @RsMods. Thanks, bro!
