NPC Dialogue gives every pedestrian in Los Santos a name, a memory and something to say. Look at anyone on foot, and talk to them: a card with up to four things to say and their answer, spoken in the game's own recorded lines
All offline in sort of a Skyrim dialogue feel.
Features
Installation
Controls and config
All offline in sort of a Skyrim dialogue feel.
Features
- Everyone is somebody. Each ped is a person with a name, an age, a job, a mood and a standing with you. They remember you between sessions: a friend stays a friend, and somebody you crossed is still cooling off next week.
- They answer in their own voice. Every reply is one of the game's recorded takes for that ped, with the words on the card. Your options are written to fit what they are about to say, and a line is only said once per conversation.
- Franklin, Michael and Trevor sound like themselves. Greetings, insults and goodbyes are their own recorded lines, so the whole exchange is in the game's voices.
- People react. Brush you off, warn you, square up, run, call the police. Gang members, officers, workers, elders and the homeless each talk the way they do, and the voice follows the face the game gave them.
- Deal on the corner with Hoodrich installed: sound people out, offer what you carry, with the drug icons on the card. The street buys; the rest of the city mostly does not, and some of them dial 911.
- They notice the world. Shootings, sirens and crashes nearby come up in conversation.
- Settings in game. Shift+N opens a card for volume, range, what is drawn on screen and what people are allowed to do about you, saved as you change it.
Installation
- Install ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet 3 (3.6 or newer, a nightly, or the Enhanced fork).
- Copy the scripts folder from the zip into your GTA V folder. You get scripts\GtaNpcMind.dll, scripts\GtaNpcMind.ini and the scripts\GtaNpcMind folder with the voice banks (about 380 MB).
- Load a save. Look at a pedestrian and press E, or the interact button on a pad. Keys 1 to 4 or the mouse pick a line, Backspace leaves, Shift+N opens the settings.
Controls and config
- Talk key, range, volume, the name tag and reactions live in GtaNpcMind.ini, or on the Shift+N card.
- Single-player only. Never use in GTA Online.

looks vibecoded...
@NullVoid ok.
@IreBurncontroller supported aswell.
@wgarnett I'll add some translations in the coming updates
I thought this was another one of those gimmicky NPC Ai linked online mods, but now seeing how you're going about doing this in SP offline, I have to say "Hats off & Salute" to you for taking this approach,
@nj5050 thank you kind sir , i was going for more a Skyrim dialogue system , very limited by the in-game ped voice lines but I feel it works well with vanilla without the laggy LLM API call
@spitmux @nj5050 I agree! With some minor tweaks and additions, this could be a vital mod for my setups. The mod loaded up properly with no hiccups , however after i completed my first interaction the game briefly lagged and all civilian peds disappeared (even after reboot). maybe a conflicting mod tho..
this is the npc dialogue mods im looking for not those ai voiced one.. nice one dude
@spitmux real cool and innovative mod again. one small detail: choosing the voice lines by mouse is enough for me and the num keys are already linked to other mods. could you maybe add an option to disable the num keys?
