nice addon! it's just that when i buy a new gun in ammunation, it just deletes the old gun in the same category, which is a waste of money. i hope you'll fix it soon!

also, the weapon disappear when replaced, and alot of times the weapon doesn't replace the slot too

@cascadefr23 Dude, that's what this mod is for, what do you think it was for? you ONLY CAN CARRY ONE GUN OF EACH CATEGORY, hence the "Limited weapons"

@Ugv6767676 Compatibility in what sense I may ask? this mod is automatic, works with any addon weapon, and should also work with addonweapons too

@thalilmythos Yes, I know, a mistake of mine, I downloaded the mod when I had a lot of weapons in the inventory and it didn't work then I removed them all and it worked.

have you considered an update where you can only have even more limited amounts of weapons? (like only one primary, one pistol, and one grenade or something) or something configurable in an ini

@thalilmythos but unlike the pickups mod which drops the weapon you want to replace, this mod just erase the weapon, so when you accidentally press e, the weapon you actually want to use is gone

@cascadefr23 Which is why, in my description you see that I say "just like in previous gta" because that's what I'm imitating here, I'm not trying to replicate pickups.

@thalilmythos any way to integrate attachments too picked up weapons since there are now several mods having more in depth customization for loadout on top of having a customized loadouts.meta would be a nice immersive touch if pickups held their equipped attachments like most do on the floor.

@voodoodres this mod doesn't touch attachments my man, it doesn't store weapons, this mod removes weapons to keep only one in each category, it's all it does, I'm not sure about what you're asking exactly, but if you pick up a weapon and it has attachments, then they should have em, since like I said, I don't touch any of that

@voodoodres I do know, that pickups (the mod) does inform it's users in the readme that picking up weapons with components will make them lose them, not sure if you're combining this with pickups, but that could be your issue

@thalilmythos i was using manual pick ups by hkh for a while but i am not using any script at the moment just hand edited pickups.meta in all the dlcs. im pretty sure it use to be a feature in infamoussabres pickups that attachments would carry over not sure if that was lost in game updates or in compatibility updates for the mod but an old forum post he talks about adding attachment compatibility and transfer to one of the earlier updates for the original pickups mod. cant find anything to add that function unfortunately and it seems to be more then just a flag or configuration edits in the pickups meta, so at the moment a way to make that work is outta my depth. Your mod still hands down way simpler and a bit more intuitive and fluid a system for limiting weapon inventory. might be a cool idea to see a drop and pick up mod that allows retainment of attachments. this mod with modified immersive pickups edits in all the dlcs goes hard af in combat and only requires your script. paired with better player ragdoll weapon drop from gameplayfixes and combat gets extra intense.

@voodoodres I appreciate you, I have considered making a mod to keep dlc weapons, since none of the current alternatives I like, and it would be once again another case of "I have to step in to make this shit right" but it's not in me right now, this pairs well with addon weapons.

Although addonweapons does have certain saving issues when dropping or losing weapons in gameplay, since it tends to only save weapons when you buy the, which bothers the shit out of me because some times you find a good weapon while in combat and want to keep it.

@thalilmythos honestly if you wanna look at a script with a good frame work https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/little-jacob-mod works well enough as a general dlc saver anhd purchasing script i had to modify the json files a bit for newer weapons as well as left out dlcs but i for the most part have everything running and saving properly with attachments as far as i can tell works seamlessly with limited weapons. it could use some quality of life improvements and would probably be better off as just an arms dealer/saving mod without the mission content since you already have plenty of that on lock.

i have a suggestion.. reduce the weapon wheel slot to 4 or 3 if you can that would be fantastic
