Random Attackings 0.6a

NPCs have had enough of you killing them, now it's THEIR turn to provoke and kill you. They want you DEAD!

Place RandomAttackings.dll and RandomAttackings.ini into your "scripts" folder. You will need the latest Script Hook V and .NET Script Hook.

J - Toggle Attackings
K - Manually Trigger/Create Random Attack (Needs "CanTriggerManually" to be set to true in .ini file)

The controls can be edited via the .ini file.

The mod uses a random timer and random chance to make the attacks very random, by default every 5-10 minutes, an event could/should happen. After the timer is over, it uses the 1/5 chance and if it gets it, it does the event, if not, it restarts the timer.

randTimerMin - In milliseconds that defines the minimum value for the random timer, by default it's 5 minutes.

randTimerMax - In milliseconds that defines the maximum value for the random timer, by default it's 15 minutes.

randChanceMin - Minimum value for the random chance of the attack to happen if the timer is up.

randChanceMax - Maximum value for the random chance of the attack to happen if the timer is up.

BlipShown - True/False for if the assassin or attacker will have a blip on the minimap, recommended false for more immersion and surprise.

CanTriggerManually - True/False for if the user can trigger random attacks manually instead of waiting. If true, "Trigger" key can be used to create a random attack.

Types of Attacks
Assassin - Paid and armed, a mask wielding stranger with outstanding marksmanship will attempt to assassinate you.

Madrazo's Henchmen - You are still exiled in Madrazo's book. 4 loyal henchmen will be sent via SUV with pistols and will attempt to drive by, chase you, by any means necessary!

Racist Rednecks - These hillbillies don't want you in their country. 'Murica! These rednecks are armed with sawn off shotguns and will come in threes with their ATVs.

ZiPPO RAID - Oh shit, it's ZiPPO motherfucking RAID! He is armed and dangerous in a Duke O' Death. His presence will make the city blackout and start thunder storming.

With this mod, you can randomly be attacked or become a target for assassins, Merryweather, and muggers and many more in future updates. You will receive a hate message before being attacked. Every 5 to 10 minutes by default, an attack will occur so watch your back! Follow the mod to know when an update is released which will add much more variety!!!

- Added "StartupEnabled" option in .ini, set to true so the mod starts up automatically.
- Added "CanTriggerManually" option in .ini, if set to true, you can use the "Trigger" key to manually trigger/start a random attack instead of waiting randomly.
- Added Madrazo's Henchmen attack. 4 henchmen in an SUV will chase you down until you die.

- Fixed "StartupEnabled".

- Added Racist Rednecks attack. 3 hillbillies in their own ATVs will chase you with sawn off shotguns.

- Added ZiPPO RAID attack with ZiPPO RAID text messages. ZiPPO RAID himself will be armed with a Combat MG and Micro SMG in a Duke O' Death.

- Fixed ZiPPO RAID attack not happening.
- Added new UI components (scaleforms) to make attacks look more Rockstar-ish and professional.

ZiPPO RAiD - Mod idea, helping testing, and giving me most of the threatening text messages for the mod.

    @jedijosh920 yeah i see that you have several mod going on and still active, that's nice :) ( not like many other modder :( )

    Well it could also depend on your action, like stealing an expensive car ( kinda like the online )
    Killing somes peds
    Killing cops
    going in wrong homes and shooting

    And various kind of "attacking peds"

    - Why not somes crazy guys with tractor when you are arounds fields
    - Why not the merryweather mercenary if we have serious bounty
    - Why not sniper spawning on whatever building roof around you
    - Why not gang if you kill one of them
    - Why not the lost in the desert ( why bike + their van, dont remember the vehicle name )
    - Why not crazy truck drivers trying to roam you ir you steal a truck

    And also, if you piss off some "organisation" why not spawn enough of them to end up like in a survival mini game ( but imho, no need for scoring or so, to have that feel more "roleplay"

    Guess you can have some fun and nice potencial with a such mod :D

    @jedijosh920 Add a random 'police bust' but with a very low chance of happening so it's not annoying, where you get 3 stars and FIB agents come to fuck you up with a message like 'We got enough dirt on you this time', 'This is for not paying us off again' etc etc. Also like woots suggested gang attacks by Ballas/Triads/ (Hillbillys are there so i dont list them) would make sense due to the storyline. 'Hey this is for Stretch!' 'This is for our boys, gwai lo!' and yeah Merryweather would be cool too (Don Percival had enough of your shit, we told you to calm the fuck down). Just remember not the lose the current balance cause it's perfectly balanced, it doesn't happen too much yet they can still suprise you often when it does. : )

    oh also a colombian assasination attempt would be nice, I imagine it as 4 bikers on some fast bikes spraying you with Micro Uzis and no map markers for them, popular assasination style too

    aaaand please add option in the .ini to disable the huge screen 'random attack' thing, I've been using the old version cause of that.....and like woots mentioned, if you could detect what gangs/organizations we've killed without any FPS drops, then you could make some epic reinforcements attack for them (just make sure to implement a check if the player didn't die yet) this would be just like in True Crime: LA, where there wasn't only wanted level but a 'heat' level which was basically wanted level from gangsters and not cops

    is this mod still active?
    i kinda assumed that sooner or later an option to manually select that enemies (their number, transportation and their weapons) that attack the player will show up. like "riot mod" did, give or take, so every person can tweak exactly what he wants.... but i guess now its "later" and the mod hasnt been updated in a while....

    i agree with what reaperVC said. the messages of incoming attack and that the enemy is dead or you escaped them is annoying as heck. it blocks the screen, its annoying when i drive and cant see anything and it completely ruins the surprise of being attacked. same as the weather change.
    really unnecessary.

    the INI should have options to tweak:
    messages = on\off
    what type of spawn you want to happen = assassin, zappo, rednecks, maddrazo, other (add more types? like military or swat?)
    how accurate each faction is = 0-100
    how many enemies appear in each group = 0-100
    what weapons they are using = pistol, shotgun, uzi, smg, rocket launcher etc etc.

    and what is the randChanceMin= andd randChanceMax=? i mean, i know what it's supposed to be but its really confusing. is it a scale of 1 to 5?? like 1 out of 5 is like 20% and if i set min to 3 and max to 6 than it's 50%? why is it confusing? should have been 0-100% and that's it. no?

    same with the timer. why is it milliseconds and not seconds? why do we need to take out a calculator just to set the timer to whatever we want?

    this mod couldd be so much fun, in potential. i am using it and loving it but there are a few key featuers missing and the INI is convoluted in a really unnecessary way.

    sadly, it seems like this wont change as the modder has dropped this mod even before version 1.0.

    it's a bit sad seeing so many mods that are half baked and forgotten. very few modders truly make mods all the way through. and a talented mod like jedijosh who obviously can do some really cool stuff seem to stop a bit short of what makes a mod fully fleshed out.

    we miss you, jedi. come back. please :)

    this mod is pretty cool man, works nicely together with your gang mod, it spices things up! having so much fun with them after finished the SP missions! but...! i have a request however,can u make an option for surprise attacks? i don't really like to be warned wen iam going to be attacked or i if kill the attacker or escape! or anyway we can remove those warning messages? thnks a milion,made a donation aswell

    I have Script Hook V, Open IV, ScriptHookDotNet and Menyoo Trainer installed. Will this mod interfere with any of these? Am I missing anything?
    And most importantly, does this work in Director Mode? I don't want to play as the SP characters or a random NPC.
    Is there any mods that this will not work with?

    Can you add an option to toggle the massive, screen filling graphics when an attack starts or ends?

    1) it gets in the way of the game
    2) it ruins immersion
    3) doesn't make sense if you hide the blips
