Scene Director is a mod for GTA V specifically aimed at recording Machinima.
In many ways its an extension to Director Mode and Rockstar Editor.

It has already been used by some of the most profiled GTA V Machinima videos.

Synchronized animations are the major new feature of version 3.3.
460 synchronized animations have been added and more will come in future releases.
This will really improve the realism for GTA V Machinima videos.

Action types which are currently recorded are:
- On foot movement
- In vehicle movement (cars, helis, boats, planes++)
- Entering vehicle (including as a passenger with ALT+F)
- Exit vehicle
- Play synchronized animation (ALT+NUM1-9)
- Play animation sequence (ALT+NUM1-9)
- Play scenario from other mod (such as scenario menu)
- Gun fire recording!
- Cover
- Jumping
- Climb
- Rocket vehicle (voltic2)

Installation: Requires Scripthook V. Copy SceneDirector.asi, SceneDirectorAnim.txt and scene_director.ini into game directory

- World menu where you can control weather, wind, blackout and a timelapse
- Actor menu
- Choose between 28 walking styles
- Set max health
- Choose one of three relationship groups. Group A and B hates each other, whilst Group C is neutral.
(buggy and will only be applied when the scene is switched to active)
- If in vehicle there is now a setting for avoiding damage (some cosemtic damage still occurs unfortunately)
- Set a spotlight following each actors. Different spot locations and colors are available
- Firing squad now copies all 217 scenarios (use together with Scenario Menu 2.0)

Version 1.2
Context sensitive menu system and HUD. No need to remember key combinations any more

Version 1.1
- Copy mode aka firing squad activated with ALT+C
- Configuration file
- Config options for rebinding the default F9 and F10 for possess and clone
- Config options for settings the height above ground for plane and heli waypoints

Version 1.0
Initial release

The controls are as follows:

F10 - Show/hide menu HUD
Can be configured in .ini file

NUMSPACE2,8,4,6,5 - Controlling menu HUD
Can be configured in .ini file

Delete element in HUD (animations and actors)

Change scene mode - From menu
Change scene mode. Scene mode is default active and waypoints will be acted on immediately. Setup scene mode, waypoint will be stored, and all of them triggered at the same time when scene mode is set to active

Assign current player to slot 1-9 - From menu (or CTRL+1-9)

Reset scene - ALT+DELETE
Teleport all actors to the location they have when the scene mode was first set to active.

Firing squad mode - ALT+C
Copy mode aka. firing squad mode. Other actors will aim and fire at the same targets as the player. They will also enter vehicles and skydive when the player does so.

ALT + T Teleport the player to waypoint

Reset scene director

ALT + F Enter nearest vehicle as a passenger

    restarting the game never works. i noticed whatever actor im not posessing duplicates. so your saying delete the character im using? so in the object spooner in menyoo mod you want me to add the characters im using and delete them after the scene then record it and it will delete the duplicates?

    @rambo602 When using the NPC in MENYOO,after the completion of the filming of the remove in the SPONNER characters of the selected character.In the Scene Director you only need to click on the item to remove actor.

    @rambo602 dude just restart your game, you are recording your clip and then trying to edit it all in one session If you want to continue doing this, then you
    can either delete your actors before you enter the editor or simply take all you actors, and go hide them in a bush before you enter the editor.

    Other wise they will remain on the map in the editor, Restarting your game removes them, as this refreshes the map,

    I'm having a little issue. If anybody could help that would be awesome. So im trying to record 2 vehicles cruise on he highway next to each other. The issue I'm having is that when there both driving one of the vehicles has this blurring effect. The vehicle that I'm in doesn't blur but the other does. Is this fixable?

    @DoublecAp @Fr3kjo @DoublecAp If the game crashes when you try to record a scene in a vehicle, you need to update GTA. The code is check to see if rocket boost is active, and this native is not present in older GTA versions. PS older version of the mod without this check is available at https://github.com/elsewhat/gtav-mod-scene-director/tree/master/mod_releases

    @elsewhat Fantastic mod! Thanks for taking the time to create such a powerful tool for machinima developers to use.

    I have one small suggestion for improvement. The Animation Viewer mod (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/animation-viewer) seems to have about 5k additional animations that are not included in this mod. Would it be possible to have those additional 5k animations included in this mod in a future enhancement?

    @elsewhat Hi, what crashes is only scripthook, not the whole game, and it happens almost everytime I try to record, no matter if I am in a vehicle, or on foot, or how many actors are stored. My game is updated with the last update, so I guess that is not the problem:( Ps: I said "almost everytime" bc it lets me record sometimes, like 1/15 times I try, any idea?

    @elsewhat I forgot to say that I get a scripthook error, (An exception occurred while executing 'SceneDirector.asi' (0x00007FFBC4E70830)), but I am still able to play and use any other mod, and if I restart the game or reload the savegame I can use this mod again, but it happens the same thing.

    @elsewhat I'm having a problem where one of my actors is always cloned when I preview the clip in Rockstar Editor. They are just standing there doing nothing. I have tried with a number of different actors and it seems as if the actor which is cloned is randomized each time. Anyone else ever experience this problem?

    @elsewhat amazing mod thanks a lot. Dynamic objects do not return to record at first.(after recording, back to start properties doesnt work for dynamic objects) please can you add this ?
