  • @Rtx_grafix Right, I get why the bars do that, but why not just have them move half the speed, and turn red at 50%? it would be functionally the same, just less confusing. Regardless, they are in the way of subtitles, and that's really annoying. If they were just, a lot smaller, and like maybe over top of the minimap, that'd be ok.
And I appreciate that you're trying to stick to realistic values, but there's no harm in letting the user configure the numbers themselves. Currently, if I really wanted, I could make one of the food items completely restore all hunger/thirst/sleep and make it cost $1, but that would defeat the purpose of the mod.
Honestly, if the bars were just moved/shrunk like I said, that would bump this to a 6.5/10 easy. I still think I would need to be able to configure the numbers to actually want to play this though (and by the way, my days are vanilla length).
If you ever do feel like doing a big update, changing the "sleep anywhere" system to a "sleep at hotels/motels for a cost" would be awesome (but I understand if that's outside the scope of what you want to do)

  • Cool mod, but I did notice 2 things you might want to change - 1st, The garbage bin outside Franklin's old house, it is placed where the van spawns in Hood Safari and at least for me, had to be moved before I could enter the van - 2nd, the "Gifts at the Pier" stall thing at Vangelico where the Epsilonist is, It's in the way during the Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill mission where you chase the famous lady's dog, the dog runs into the stall and gets stuck and has to teleport forward to continue running away. Also, it's called "gifts at the pier" which makes no sense in the middle of Rockford Hills.

  • 10/10 mod. Works perfect. should have been in the base game.

  • I love the reference with the Up'n'Atom Rebel, it even has an A113 license plate in the first picture and is parked very particularly next to a trailer in the second. Very cool

  • Decided to give this a look because I was getting kind of sick of HungerSleep how there was no inventory. This mod Is definitely more complex in the fact that there's a bunch of food items and a lot of things are configurable, but the ui is ugly and covers the subtitles, and the values seem to go down way too fast. That might just be a side effect of how each bar actually has 2 bars (first, they're colored, then when they hit 0 they reveal a red bar that's at 100, it's a little confusing), but it would still be nice to have the speed be configurable, just some config options for how long to go from 100-0 for the 3 bars, and maybe also an adjustable value for pocket size, 5 is technically a lot for a human with regular clothes on, but this is a video game, we can't have backpacks, we can't keep stuff in our cars, there's a lot of options you just don't have in a video game. I feel like 10 or 15 would be a more balanced number. Especially when you consider that days in this game are so short. Yes, the game world is shrunk down and many things are dumbed down and sped up, due to the nature of video games, but not to the same extent. A game day is like 1/50th of a real day, but getting to and from a restaurant is like 1/5th the time, so it's 10 times as inconvenient for a video game character to have to sleep every single night and to eat 3 times a day. I don't even eat 3 times a day IRL.
So, basically - If the 3 bars looked better/were placed better, and were just normal bars, and if the speeds and the pocket size could be configured, 10/10 mod... Currently, like a 4/10

  • NVM about the phone conflict, turns out my copy of iFruitAddon was just broken for some reason. The other things stand though

  • So, I have a few gripes with this mod.
1st of all: If you have Single Player Apt and Garage installed (which also uses iFruitAddon for its phone calls), the phone calls in this mod conflict so calling the mechanic makes restaurants show on the map and calling Mors Mutual makes hotels show up. Kinda annoying, as sometimes It can be hard to naturally find a place to eat, so disabling is also not really viable. but the sleeping and eating in your apts works perfectly so that's cool.
2nd: like other people have said, the self-advertising is goofy. We know who made the mod, we downloaded it. not a big deal, just a little annoying
3rd: The places to eat don't always properly reflect what building they are in. For example: in Paleto Bay there's 2 places to eat - a bakery, ok - and a surf shop, what? like a literal surfing gear and gift shop. No evidence of food being sold at all inside. Another - Sandy shores, next to the tattoo parlor - chinese restaurant, clearly labeled "open 24 hours," even has a neon open sign that is on all night, mod says it's closed at night, as it's labeled as a restaurant and they're ALL closed at night. This is easily my biggest gripe - As I said, to find out where I can eat, I have to call my mechanic, so I'd like to disable the blips altogether (setting the blip timer to 0 makes them appear for a split second but that's ok) and just rely on in-world signage to find places to eat, but evidently, those signs are not always accurate.
I'm fine with completely missed locations, sometimes even Google Maps will send you to a real place that's been shut down but still looks open IRL. But if a place has clearly marked signage of "Not a restaurant" or "open 24hrs" Then I would expect the mod to at least be accurate to that. And BTW Paleto Bay has like 6 bars you could theoretically eat at if you were just looking for another location.
Honestly, a way to place custom restaurant markers with custom hours, prices, and food tier, would be an awesome addition because then anyone could find any food place and put in however much detail they wanted. Just a thought though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • @RizZetsu You don't need to enable the blips on the map, you can just walk up to a restaurant.
