  • @ikt Thanks for this mod!!! Best mod ever !!
Absolutely the best way to enjoy GTA.

I have a suggestion to improve this mod with an option which I loved to be possible.

It's just a though and I can't imagine the technical difficulties and hours of work to achieve this goal.

Please, no miss-intrepretations about this request, I just want to share the idea and give a thank for all the work done.

Question : Is it possible to make this mod compatible with SIMHUB ?

I was wondering if you know about SIMHUB software, I use it a lot for simracing games like assetto corsa and others...

This program allow you to grab telemetry datas from games and connect external devices like Dashboards, leds, Pc Fans (Wind Simulation), Throttle and Brake Rumble Pedals, Bass shakers (seat vibration),...
Couple this tactil feedbacks with a good wheel and VR Helmet... just amazing !!!

One guy made a GTA mod to make it compatible with SIMHUB (No updated since 2017) :
    LINK_TO_DEMO > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjN-2OWxql8
    LINK_TO_MOD > https://github.com/TGDSimware/GTA5Telemetry

AND IT WORKS !!! BUT it's buggy...

The guy used it for dashboard (physical) display. My use is different, I use it for tactil feedbacks (Fans, Rumbles, Bass Shakers).
This MOD works because it connecting the game to SIMHUB, but in a sort of half-way... I think some data is missing.

My fans works well (speed data) , the pedals rumble and seat basskicker gives RPM feedback and gears switch (RPM + GEARS DATA).
But this mod does not give any data about wheels lock, suspensions, road texture, road impacts... (DATAS MISSING FROM THE GAME ? OR NOT INCLUDED IN DATA FEED FORMAT?).
And the most annoying thing is when your are outside the car, SIMHUB become crazy buggy with high values. (NO DATAS ABOUT IN/OUT CAR / ENGINE POWER DETECTION ?)

Technically, this guy's MOD grab the GTA telemetry datas and use codemaster data format (codies) for sending it over UDP to port 20777.

I'm not developper and maybe my understanding is a bit confused, fuzzy or wrong.

But i find some explainations on the SIMHUB discord from Wotever (the author of the software) confirming the best way to make a UDP feed stream using Codemaster Format.

    Quote :
" ... I would suggest you to use codemasters format, it's simple and complete enough to drive a basic cluster, in this way you will have compatibility with any softwares compatible with codies (almost all of them).
    Link to CodiesExtradata3Packet.cs > https://pastebin.com/kDNazPXr

It's the data format for all basic codemasters games (dirt, dirt rally, grid 2019, and all grid games, it's typically sent over UDP to port 20777)
If you fill this structure and send it as an UDP packet your engine will work out of box with SimHub (you just have to select any "dirt" or "grid" entry)
And by the way you will cover all the telemetry apps available on the market supporting codemasters games. Pretty much a good deal :) "

If i was developper or maybe just smarter, I'd loved to be able to make this MOD work well.
That why I share this with you, in the hope that this may be added to the list of possible improvements.

Just in case you did not know the software and its possibilities of use.
Here are some links and tutorials to show you (and all forums readers) how to make this kind of tactile feedback complementary to the steering wheel.

SIMHUB is very well documented with tutorials :

It's DIY at a low cost, very easy and it's well worth it.
