Custom Dodge Rims

Pick between 7 Real Life Dodge Rims and 1 Bonus Rim!

  • 20" SATIN CARBON ALUMINUM (Stock)
  • 20" POLISHED ALUMINUM WITH GRAPHITE POCKETS
  • 20" HYPER BLACK II LIGHTWEIGHT FORGED ALUMINUM
  • 20" POLISHED ALUMINUM WITH BLACK POCKETS AND SATIN FINISH
  • 20" MATTE BLACK LIGHTWEIGHT FORGED ALUMINUM
  • 20" BRASS MONKEY LIGHTWEIGHT FORGED ALUMINUM

[Installation]

Use OpenIV to make these changes.

-(ADD-ON)-
1. Add new line close to the bottom:
dlcpacks:\16charger\
to file .\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml

2. Copy the "16charger" folder into the dlcpacks folder:
.\update\x64\dlcpacks\16charger

3. "Tire Texture" folder content goes into vehshare.ytd on two locations:
- .\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\vehshare.ytd
- .\x64w.rpf\dlcpacks\mpbeach\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\mpbeachvehicles.rpf\vehshare.ytd

4. Spawn carname using a trainer: 16charger


-(FULL REPLACE)-

1. Add new line close to the bottom:
dlcpacks:\16charger\
to file .\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml

2. Copy the "16charger" folder from the "\1. Install Files\1b. Full Replace (Buffalo2)\" folder into the dlcpacks folder:
.\update\x64\dlcpacks\16charger

3. "Tire Texture" folder content goes into vehshare.ytd on two locations:
- .\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\vehshare.ytd
- .\x64w.rpf\dlcpacks\mpbeach\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\mpbeachvehicles.rpf\vehshare.ytd

4. In order for the dials and handling to work properly, replace files:
.\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\vehicles.meta
.\update\update.rpf\common\data\handling.meta
with the 2 meta files in folder "\1. Install Files\1b. Full Replace (Buffalo2)\"

5. Spawn carname using a trainer: buffalo2


-(CAR ONLY REPLACE)-
... or just use the three files in the "\1. Install Files\1c. Car-only Replace (Buffalo2)\" folder and put them here:
.\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf
Note: This will only replace the car and many options will not work, such as dials, proper handling, bodymods, livery, etc.

[Troubleshooting]

  • Add-on or Full replace crashes the game?
    Try this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars
  • Stuck at loading screen indefinitely?
    To many textures added to vehshare.ytd's Either remove some of mine or other custom tires
  • Where are the custom wheels?
    They are in Sports, you can access them in Benny's or with a trainer (they are not in LSC)
  • Why does the car not spawn?
    - Check the correct spawnname: 16charger or buffalo2
    - Check OpenIV log if 16charger entries can be found
    - Disable other mods in dlclist.xml and see if that helps
    - Try a different trainer
  • Why are my (day)lights not so bright?

  • Why are my hands not on the steering wheel?
    You have previously modded the vehicles.meta file for the buffalo2. You need to restore the buffalo2 part back to vanilla settings, or use this line in the "Layout" part:
    LAYOUT_STD_LOWROOF

    I like this! Could you work on more details? such as when doors are opened, inside of doors are transparent, engines and trunk.

    @tk0wnz What's the trick to doing the full replace; I tried to use you mod as a template to turn another vehicle into a full replace for Micheal Tailgater. Is it something you can show us?

    Hey man, this Charger mod is by far the most amazing thing I've seen. However, when I'm adding the vehicle mods, they're attached in the wrong way. Like the hood is replaced but then there's another hood floating 5 feet in front of the car. Another example, When I replace the RT front with the SRT front, the SRT front just clips into the RT front, so both are there. What's going on?

    @SkeefOoo This should not happen and sounds like an issue with the carcols.meta file. Either you did something wrong or the latest update messed things up. It's usually the former :)

    @lytdyt86 It's kinda tricky, but using this full replace as a template is the best start. You need to use the same names for the vehiclemods as the original car has, thus you can't have more then the original car has (less is ok). Find the carcols.ymt entry for tailgater and use that as a basis.

    If you only want to replace the car without mods you only need to use my dlc and add the three car files with the original car name.

    @tk0wnz I was wondering if you know where there are any tutorials for making custom rims, I have a wheel model but am not sure how to make it so I can use it in game, I want to make it the same as you did with your Vector wheels for your 69 Charger.

    @ZANTHERA You will need zmodeler3.
    I suggest you import an existing rim from the game (x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\vehiclemods\wheels_mods.rpf) in zm3, study it, and try and replace it with your rim.
