This is just alteration of desert emitters, they originally too flat and cover smaller area
Unfortunately this effect is only around player, just like underwater, or regular fog, so it's not localized visible in distance like in some brand new games. But this mod still makes some difference.

HELP! i got this and it did not work, there was no sand effect then a bunch of racist hillbillys kidnaped me and crucified Franklin! I WAS LIT ON FIRE ON A CROSS!!! Never dowloading mods again!

Can confirm this still works in September of 2026, even on the Enhanced version of the game, seems like Rockstar never changed any parameters.
