This mod is for those who want to play with high grass settings and gain a few extra FPS. In a nutshell, it decreases textures resolution of procedurally generated grass in order to improve performance with grass quality set on high/very high/ultra. If this isnt low res enough, I will make another version with even lower resolution if it helps.
Installation:
For grass, replace the .ytd files in following directory: "x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\props\procedural\v_proc1.rpf"
For trees, replace the .ytd files in following directory:
"x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\props\vegetation\v_trees.rpf"
UPDATE: Now includes lower resolution trees (almost no visual difference) and lower resolution grass.

@Khan_Modz So did you notice a difference? I'm considering this because I am using GTA 5 Enhanced 2.0, which aims to add all the palm trees and other vegetation to match L.A. perfectly. It of course comes with some lag.
I didn't notice a difference here. I think the issue is the shadows on the grass that cause the lag. Using a 3090 here and noticed zero difference. Grass drops me down to less than 30 fps on very high.
Still works fine with the latest GTA 5 version. Though, keep in mind that if you're running ultra or very high grass, I don't think this would help that much, because it's mostly the shadows casted by the grass itself that kill your FPS on ultra and somewhat on very high. High dosen't cast any grass shadows.
what must be in the mods folder? or in normal game files?
