MODEL HASH SPOOFING AND OTHER MODS
=====================================================
IdentiSwitch lets you play as any ped while the game still thinks you are Michael, Franklin or Trevor.
That is what keeps your money, shops, and every protagonist-bound system working normally instead of breaking the moment you stop being a protagonist.
The tradeoff: any script that reads Game.Player.Character.Model sees the underlying protagonist, not your character.
=====================================================
Description
IdentiSwitch turns GTA V's three protagonists into as many characters as you want. Build a character from any ped in the game, give them their own outfits, walk, voice, cars, house and wallet, and switch between them the way the base game switches between Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
Every character is saved: where they were standing, what they were wearing, what they were driving, what they were carrying.

Full feature list
Installation
Place IdentiSwitch.dll and IdentiSwitch.ini into your "scripts" folder.
You'll need Script Hook V and Script Hook V .NET (v3).
Your characters are saved to scripts/IdentiSwitchData.xml, created on first run.

- Hoodcore 1.9 and newer handles this automatically - gang member capture and similar reads work transparently
- If a third-party script reacts oddly to your player model, toggle spoofing off with the Replay Screenshot key. It stays off until you toggle it back on
- Or turn it off permanently with General / EnableModelHashSpoofing=false

Full feature list
- Unlimited saved characters, switched from a character wheel:
- Switch camera transition like the base game's protagonist switch
- Quick switch when the target character is nearby
- Auto-switch to your last played character on game start
- Ped portraits on the wheel, sized to how many characters you have
- Model hash spoofing - keep any ped model while money, shops and protagonist-bound systems keep working
- Per-character money - every character carries their own wallet, restored on spawn
- Per-character appearance:
- Outfits menu - save and re-apply full outfits
- Walking styles
- Voices
- Hat and prop preservation, including through vehicles
- Armor and weapon loadout preserved per character
- Personal vehicles:
- Multiple vehicles per character, saved with mods, wheels, extras and colors
- Damage state preserved - doors and tires stay as you left them
- Locking, and a map blip that matches the vehicle type
- Personal houses - claim an interior as a character's home, with an in-game house creator
- Works with the other kassiter mods - broadcasts the active character to Hoodcore and ActionGear so their save data follows your character
- Configurable from IdentiSwitch.ini
Installation
Place IdentiSwitch.dll and IdentiSwitch.ini into your "scripts" folder.
You'll need Script Hook V and Script Hook V .NET (v3).
Your characters are saved to scripts/IdentiSwitchData.xml, created on first run.
Default controls
- Sprint (Shift) + Look Behind (C) - open the character wheel (MenuControl / MenuModifierControl in the INI)
- Duck (Ctrl) + Sprint (Shift) - open the character outfits wheel
Changelog
This page covers IdentiSwitch up to 1.2, the free release. Newer versions and their changelogs: https://kassiter-mods.com/identiswitch/whats-new
1.2
- Added model hash spoofing: characters now keep their original model in money, shops and protagonist-bound systems, so vanilla cash and stores keep working without forcing every character to look like Michael, Trevor or Franklin. Configurable via General / EnableModelHashSpoofing (default on), with a runtime toggle on the Replay Screenshot key that shows current status on the picker prompt
- Added per-character money: each saved character tracks its own wallet and is restored on spawn
- Reworked the spoofing-toggle help text to share its line with the house-editor hint instead of competing for screen space, and hid it while in a vehicle (the keybind still works)
- Fixed the outfit and clothing system with model hash spoofing enabled
- Fixed portrait generation with spoofing enabled, and a max-ammo bug
- Preserved the character's RelationshipGroup through a spoof cycle
1.2 free release fixes
- Fixed face features being wiped on reload - the periodic autosave was overwriting the editor's values with zeros, so faces reset to neutral on the next script reload
- Fixed first-load money not accruing: the model set now runs twice, the second pass while spoofed, so the game binds single-player cash to the right slot. Appearance, clothes, weapons and money are applied after both
- Fixed cash addressing the wrong slot on Franklin and Trevor saves - the protagonist a save belongs to is now stored instead of guessed after a script reload
- Fixed switching or reloading while sitting in a car that is not a saved personal vehicle: you were dumped on the road while a fully-dressed duplicate of you drove off in it
- Fixed a stranded switch leaving you invisible and frozen as the transition camera ped, with a watchdog that recovers one, including across a reload
1.1
- Personal houses - claim an interior as a character's home
- Personal vehicles: multiple vehicles per character, locking, wheel and extras preservation, and a map blip matching the vehicle type
- Outfits menu
- Walking styles, and hat preservation through vehicles
- Voices menu
- Full vehicle state preservation
- Armor preservation per character
- Auto-switch to your last played character on game start
- Quick switch when the target character is close by
- Respawn location chooser
- Character wheel sizes itself to how many characters you have saved
- Hoodcore color compatibility, and reworked delete controls
- Smoother switch camera moves, fixed autosaving, and a rebuilt garbage collector for spawned peds
1.0
- Character switching between any number of saved characters, with a switch camera transition
- Save any ped in the game as a playable character
- Ped portraits on the character wheel
- Weapon loadout preservation
- Periodic autosaving of the active character

an extended character wheel is awesome! let's hope this works on v2189.0
this is awesome bro good job
when i spawn my character in from the wheel she looks really messed up is that normal?
Yo what is that graphic mod???
@Yubi314 NVE
@NullVoid Thankss, such a great mod btw
hey,The transition camera effect for character switching is excellently implemented, yet there is a minor flaw. When the camera descends onto the player's head to restore the player‑view camera at the end of the transition, it clips through the player's body. Using RENDER_SCRIPT_CAMS would resolve this issue in a more natural manner.
makes my game crash for some reason
@sm1th Check if the event viewer contains an error
https://kassiter-mods.com/troubleshooting#event-viewer
I don't recommend downloading this – it's a complete waste of time. It doesn't really work. Well, technically it does run, but there's a bug that prevents character switching. Worse, if you die, the game completely stops working and forces you to restart your whole PC.
The concept is cool, but it doesn't work like it does in the video. The developer clearly made half of it broken on purpose, just so people would have to buy the paid version instead."
@sahsa777 Appreciate the feedback but stating "on purpose" is wild
