LightbarAttach - Attachable Police Lightbars and Siren Script
Turn (almost) any vehicle into a working police unit. LightbarAttach lets you spawn a lightbar prop, freely position it on top of your current vehicle with the numpad, lock it in place, and toggle real lights and siren audio on the fly - all from an in-game menu, no trainer required. Setups are saved per license plate, so your lightbar reloads automatically next time you get back in that same vehicle.
This upload includes the FBIOLD add-on pack (dlc_fbiold), which supplies the lightbar props the script uses.
Features
In-game menu (F11) - pick a lightbar model and spawn it straight onto the vehicle you're sitting in.
Free positioning - nudge the lightbar forward/back, left/right, and up/down with the numpad (8/2, 4/6, 9/3) until it sits exactly where you want it.
Lock and save - press ENTER to lock the position, then T (or the menu button) to save it to that vehicle's license plate. Get back in later and it loads automatically.
Lights only - G toggles the lightbar's lights with no sound.
Siren audio only - Space toggles a looping siren sound without touching the lights.
Lights and siren together - E is the main "go loud" control, switching both on or off at once.
Adopt existing props - P will grab a nearby untracked lightbar (e.g. one you spawned with another tool) and attach it to your vehicle instead of spawning a new one.
Delete all - DELETE strips every lightbar off your current vehicle in one press.
Persistence handling - attached lightbars and their host vehicle are kept as mission entities so they don't despawn or get cleaned up by the game.
Requirements
Grand Theft Auto V (Story Mode)
Script Hook V
Script Hook V .NET
NativeUI
OpenIV (for DLC installation)
Installation
1. Install the FBIOLD add-on DLC (required for the lightbar models):
Open OpenIV and navigate to: Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
Right-click dlclist.xml and choose Edit.
Add a new line at the very bottom of the list:
dlcpacks:/fbiold/
Save the file.
Copy the included fbiold folder into: Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\
2. Install the script:
Copy LightbarAttach.cs (and its .dll if provided) into your GTA V scripts folder.
Make sure Script Hook V, Script Hook V .NET, and NativeUI are all installed.
How to Use
Key Action
F11 Open/close the lightbar menu
Numpad 8 / 2 Move lightbar forward / back
Numpad 4 / 6 Move lightbar left / right
Numpad 9 / 3 Move lightbar up / down
ENTER Lock the lightbar's current position
T Save all locked lightbars to the current vehicle's plate
G Toggle lights only (silent)
Space Toggle siren sound only
E Toggle lights and siren together
P Adopt a nearby unattached lightbar
DELETE Remove all lightbars from the current vehicle
Quick start: Get in a vehicle -> press F11 -> pick a lightbar -> use the numpad to line it up -> press ENTER to lock it -> press T to save. Next time you hop into that same vehicle, the lightbar loads back automatically. Press E anytime to light it up.
Notes
Saved setups are tied to the vehicle's license plate, so vehicles with duplicate/blank plates may share a saved setup.
The siren sound is played manually through the lightbar prop, so it works on vehicles that don't normally have emergency-vehicle audio.
This is a Story Mode script - not tested for and not recommended in GTA Online.
