this mod is a simple script to replace the players personal vehicle with another vehicle, the mod even supports the use of addon vehicles as the players new vehicle
mod supports replacing Franklin's Buffalo and Bagger, Trevor's Bodhi and Quadbike, and Michael's Tailgater
after installing this is how you replace players vehicle
1) Press F7 (or whatever key OPEN_MENU_KEY is set to ReplacePlayerVehicle\SettingsData.ini) a menu will pop up, you have three main options, Replace Player Car (can be set to True/False), Set Player Original Car, and Set Player Replace Car
2) for the charaters vehicle you want to replace find their vehicle (example Trevor's Bodhi, Franklin's Buffalo), next open the menu and Select 'Set Player Original Car', you will get a message saying this vehicle has been set to players original car
3) again for the player you want to replace their vehicle, find/spawn the vehicle you want to be there repalcement vehicle, open the menu once your sitting in the vehicle you want to be their replacement vehicle and hit 'Set Player Replace Car'
4 next simply switch 'Replace Player Car' to true, it is highly recomended that if you using an addon vehicle if you uninstalling the addon vehicle to switch 'Replace Player Car' back to false

install scripthookvdotnet, place all 7 files that come with scirpthookvdontet into root folder (where PlayGtav.exe is)
download NativeUI from https://gtaforums.com/topic/809284-net-nativeui/ and put in scirpts folder

hello I installed native UI but it doesn't pop up in-game I also had to create a scripts folder because I didn't have one and the only files on it are the two for native UI and your files is there anything else that's supposed to go in there?

I've been using this mod for a bit and I gotta say, I'm impressed with the way it functions. There are some hiccups with the mod but, if installed right, the script works really well.
As for the hiccups, well there are two. The first is if the vehicle chosen is modified via trainer or if the vehicle is taken from online (spawned via trainer into the singleplayer world), the script will not save the modifications made to the vehicle, even if selected to be the replacement vehicle for any given character and the game has been saved (reloading the save and playing for a bit still returns the same result). I don't know if this is an intentional thing with the script or not, but it's something I've noticed, and has proven to be quite an annoyance especially when I don't really want to wait around for the mods to unlock after doing missions. A possible solution for this issue could be to modify the .ini files that come with the saved vehicle data, but I haven't tried that as of writing this comment/review.
The other hiccup is one to be expected. Things can get weird during missions/cutscenes where the player vehicle is the target for a script within the mission/cutscene. I would say any mission where a ped who is already supposed to be in a given player's vehicle upon a certain section of the mission, given the start, middle, or end, will be bugged or broken. I've had a few softlocks where I had to disable the vehicle being replaced before I could proceed with the mission. The best example I can give is at the beginning of Surveying the Score, right after the cutscene in the beginning. The game is soft-locked due to both Michael and Trevor's vehicles not being what they're supposed to be.
As for the cutscenes? Either the player vehicle (can be multiple player vehicles at a time) will spasm in and out of existence at blazing speeds (this only happened to me during the middle of The Third Way, when the shootout at the refinery is done, but I'm sure other scenes are affected similarly) or the player vehicle will simply not spawn, which can lead to some funny moments with the characters (Great miming Franklin!).
All in all? It's a great mod for what it does. @HKH191 has done a fantastic job making the script. I would still recommend leaving the protagonist's vehicles vanilla when doing missions though.

I know how its works. For the first time i confused about this. This is simple mod. Just go to original veh first, if already set, spawn ur fav car, then set as target veh. Now you load/exit the game, then if your car still original don't worry, enter that car then exit. Viola, your char veh forever changed into your fav veh. I've try on mission too and no problem till now.

i always wondered why you couldn't make a script to allow 4 people in a 2 door car...seems this could help with story mode if your car wasn't 4 doors. but great mod non the less.
Great mod but I'm having an issue with it. Everytime I upgrade the replaced vehicle, and exit the game (with saving), when I come back the upgrades are undone but the money I spent on them is still gone.
