@JRod In the description it says that this mod uses the "Forests Of V-The Creek", does that mean that I have to have "Forests Of V-The Creek" installed first in order for this mod to work properly?
@kagikn Where the .pdb file goes into? the main "root" directory or the 'scripts' folder??
@Williamlim520 If your add-on mods and other mods are working fine but, you can't complete "story mode" missions that has to do with a dlc issue. I had the same problem before when I transitioned from the 1.0.1493 to the 1.0.1604 patch. When I re-modded the 1.0.1604 and the game was playable, I noticed when I started a mission the mission would start but it would stop and get stuck halfway thru the mission and I was unabled to complete the mission, that's usually due to two possible reasons:
#1. Did you copied the original 1.0.1737 update.rpf and pasted it into your 'mods' folder? If you did that then read #2
#2. Did you by any chance replaced the dlclist.xml and the extratitleupdatedata.meta in the 1.0.1737 patch with your previous 1.0.1604 dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meta files? If you did that that's a big problem. I know it looks convenient to just replace those files with your previous ones since your previous ones have all the entries for all your add-on mods already in it but the problem is that the 1.0.1604 dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meta files are totally different from the ones in the new 1.0.1737 patch. Rockstar moved some of the dlc's that were previously located in the 1.0.1604 "dlcpacks" folder into another path so any missions relating to any of those dlc's that were moved won't work if you just replace the dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meta with the ones from the previous patch. That means that if you just copied and pasted the 1.0.1604 dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meata files into the 1.0.1737, that won't work. What you need to do is leave the 1.0.1737 dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meta files intact and then just manually edit and re-add any entries required for each of your add-on dlc's. That should fix the Story mode missions getting stuck issue, if that doesn't fix it then it has to do with another problem within your game.
@Spected-- Ok buddy relax!! The "heap-limit-adjuster" and the "Packfile-limit-adjuster" files are necessary and good thing you have 'em installed but, that's beside the point here. Like I said, I tried all F7YO's gameconfigs just to test 'em out and there are some flaws on some of them. As of now, 8/3/2019, the only two I noticed that are stable enough with the 1.0.1737 patch are these two:
* 2,5x traffic 2,5x peds
* 2x traffic 2x peds
Those were the only ones I found to be stable enough. If you chose to install the gameconfig from the "2,5x traffic 2,5x peds" folder, you will be able to get in the game just fine, and walk around but, if you decide to teleport somewhere or fly around in a Jet, your game will crash....I noticed that from that specific gameconfig. In the other hand, If you install the "2x traffic 2x peds" gameconfig, you will be able to get in the game, walk around, drive around just fine but, I didn't tested any "flying" but, I did do an "ingame" benchmark, with the "2x traffic 2x peds" gameconfig installed and it crashed at the point where it was supposed to show a jet flying so I don't know whether the "2x traffic 2x peds" gameconfig will perform well while flying or not, it all depends on your cpu/gpu specs anyways. If I were to recommend any of those two I would probably recommend either one, depending on your PC capabilities! The gameconfig in the "2,5x traffic 2,5x peds" folder (if you have a solid rig) -OR- the one in the "2x traffic 2x peds" for Low-Mid specs.
@Spected-- I'm going to assume that you already got all the other important files installed in your game and you did all the necessary major changes that had to be made in your game so I'm just gonna focus on your "gameconfig" issue for now. Before I even begin helping you out with that I need to know which gameconfigs you installed and tried out already. When I mean by "which" ones, I mean which specific "gameconfig" folders you used, installed, tested and failed, from this current F7YO's update. That way I can advise which one to install instead. I tested all of these F7YO's currently updated gameconfigs and there are a few faulty ones in the mix, that's why I need to know which ones you installed.
@lilroti305 No problems buddy, I'm here to help so if you run into another issue let me know! :-)
@Albert999 No problems, glad you got your issue fixed.
@lilroti305 1. Open "OpenIV" and click on EDIT on the top then go to: mods/update/update.rpf/common/data and scroll down until you see the "gameconfig.xml" file, don't open it just click on it once to highlight it and then click on the "replace" tab on the top (the tab looks like two little arrows).
2. Once you click on the "replace" tab, a window will pop up and that's when you have to find the location where you have that "Gta Config For v1.0.1737.0" folder. Go inside that folder and you will see a whole buch of other folders in there, like: 0,1x traffic, 0,1x traffic 0,1x peds etc....
3. Now you have to chose which gameconfig you want. It all depends on your PC and what it can handle. If your PC is low-to-mid range then I recommend you pick the gameconfig inside the " 1x traffic 1xpeds (Means Gta base)" folder or any of the ones in the folders above that one. If your PC is high end then you can pick any of the gameconfigs in the folders below the "1x traffic 1xpeds (Means Gta base)" folder. Each gameconfig is different, some increase or decrease the amount of cars and peds that spawn naturally in the game so you have to chose one that will work for what you got as your gaming PC. Iif your PC is not powerful enough and you install for example the "5x traffic 5x peds" gameconfig your game will probably crash so you have to figure out on your own which one is the best for you and won't upset the stability of your game.
4. Once you picked the one you want then replace the default gameconfig with that one and close OpenIV. Refresh your desktop and launch the game and test it. If your game doesn't crash and seems stable then you chose the right gameconfig but, if your game crashes after a lot of peds and cars begin popping up then you have to chose a lower gameconfig.
Hope that helps!
@Albert999 I personally don't use the add-on vehicle spawner from ikt but, I took a look at it and noticed some major differences between that one and the one I use from I'm Not MentaL. The one you got from ikt is an .asi mod, an .asi mod is an assembly language file extension which was probably created using Turbo C or C++. ASI mods are much more complex to build and keep 'em compatible with new patches. Those are usually installed in the main root directory of gta5. The add-on car spawner from I'm Not MentaL is totally different, that one is a .dll script. A DLL or dynamic link library is a script that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time. It's a much simpler mod to build and maintain whenever changes need to be made to make it compatible with new patches. Also .dll mods are efficient at memory usage and don't require a lot of disk space to function.
I was reading some of the comments for ikt's add-on car spawner and noticed a lot of people were complaining they couldn't spawn their add-on vehicles either. So I'm assuming the problem has to do with his .asi add-on car spawner mod. What I would advise you to do is to uninstall the add-on car spawner from ikt off your game and install the one I recommend from I'm Not MentaL which is a .dll base mod and all the files go into your 'scripts' folder. Follow the instructions on how to add your add-on vehicles to the .cfg file (I already explained that to you above on the previous comment).
The Add-On Car Spawner Menu 2.2.4 from I'm Not Mental works great. That's the one I got installed in my game and I have no issues spawning my add-on vehicles whatsoever. Try that one and let me know how it goes. If you're still not able to spawn your add-on vehicles with that spawner then the problem is something else, possibly something is missing in your archive or maybe a crucial file you forgot to install when you made the transition from the previous patch to the 1.0.1737.
