Texture Toolkit is a tool for GTAV that allows you to edit textures in:
- texture dictionary files (*.ytd)
- drawable dictionary files (*.ydd)
- drawable files (*.ydr)
- fragment files (*.yft)
- particle files (*.ypt)
Remember to backup your GTAV files before u use this tool!
Do NOT use GTA Online if you edited textures. I do not take responsibilities for possible bans.

TextureTool parou de funcionar sera que esse error é por causa que o TextureTool devia ter um instalador. por que a maioria dos progamas que são instalados não dão error parou de funcionar mas bom mod só precisa ser consertado esse error
@MAOAM me too what to do????
I have noticed a problem with this tool in when you save a YTD file it will sometimes alter files names to UPPERCASE lettering this makes the skin show white panels rather than the texture.
I have had to go through the files and put them all back to lowercase in order for the new YTD file to work correctly.
This has also happened to me when replaying a single .dds file within the YTD file goes in without a problem but other files in the YTD get changed to UPPERCASE lettering either first character of each word or the whole thing.
Bit Strange but great little bit of software that make my life so much easier.. sometimes not but hey ho!
this needs to be updated. it no longer works with .ydr, .dds or whatever allowed extension I'm trying to open.
@Deimos2k16 YES THATS RIGHT ME TOO!
@Neodymium THE TEXTURE WONT LOAD HELP
texture toolkit not working
seems promising but doesn support xrgb ("x8r8g8b8") format that my model has :(
@Neodymium
crashes when opening ydd
doesnt work
Straight up doesn't work
thank you so much !!! i read all the stuff saying it doesnt work.. but it worked for what i needed it for.. i managed to change the embedded textures of the pd in gtav... Just what i needed...
for those who arnt sure what to do (if you want to replace embedded ydr files) use openiv to open the file. open texture tool kit and click on file. then load. then right click in the window and create a folder called "openFormats(odr)". go back to open iv and right click your ydr and the click on "export to openFormats(opr)" and choose your folder you just made to export it to.
go back to texture toolkit, click on texturetool.exe, then file, then load, then your folder labeled openFormats(odr) and finally the file (not the folder) that is the name of the file you want to change. click edit and away you go.
to change the actual dds files, just use openiv to export them to any folder you want, then open the ones you want to edit with 'paint.net' or something similar. then save them as .dds files, and copy over the original file, with your changed one of the same name. never change the name, and never copy over the wrong one. check and double check.
sorry for the long post... i really only wanted to say thanks, it worked well for my project and i saw people had had issues :)
Thanks again :D
Poorly made broken piece of software.
@Neodymium The Tool is broken. When you try to load a file it does not load the textures.
Amazing app ty it helped me rly much. <3
just find the YFT that already exist and use it as template. replace the DDS file inside but ((KEEP THE EXACT SAME NAME )) of the dds in order to make it works
Seems like you can do this easier directly in OpenIV now. Just drag the .otd/.odr files back into the folder when you're done with them. They will transform into the right file type automatically.
how to rename texture in texture toolkit?
guys this shit works! nice mod
bro, you actually saved my life, and I kinda appreciate it :)
JUST KIDDING THIS MOD IS AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUUUUUUCH
