@ReNNie
If I was a jerk, that was not my intention
Just so I know for the future, are you allowed to leave negative reviews on this website?
Thanks
Updated review.
@MvcGyver the sounds are not even close to being balanced with the existing audio map of the game, and are louder than they need to be. The gunshots you added have a volume level that is several layers higher than all existing audio in the game to simulate them being "loud like real life".
All this does is kill the audio mix of the game and makes it impossible to find any true balance between the default audio from the game world (dialogue, radio music, soundtrack, ambient noise, car engines, etc.) and the gunshots you added.
I have been editing and mixing audio for media for years. After I was unable to find a balanced volume on my speakers, I swapped to my headphone stack, including my studio grade headphones that I edit with. All that did was reveal the flaws in how you added the sounds into the game. You just dropped them in there with a volume level that was several DB higher than anything from the base game audio map. Brushing it off as me not having a high quality pair of headphones and being hostile for no reason just reveals your own ignorance.
uninstalled and updated review to reflect true quality of mod after playing with it for a few days.
pretty sure this mod causes franklin and trevor to shoot twice with one click while using pistol. Also it breaks the slide cycle animations for the AP pistol. Great idea with fine execution. If this can be revisited by anyone and they can fix those two small issues, this is an essential mod for me.
hello! Big fan, what does this one replace? Thanks :)
Please consider making a replacement for the standard bullpup rifle
a UMP 45 as a replacement for the combat pdw would be amazing
and the assault smg desperately needs a replacement mod
cheers man
Love it, but it is simply too loud. Don't care if you have fired a gun in real life or not. I get it, but this is not real life. It's a video game, and the gunshots are WAY louder than EVERYTHING in the game. So it just drowns all other audio out, from dialogue to other sounds and especially the in-game soundtrack.
The volume of the gunshots make it impossible to find a balance of volume on desktop speakers and ESPECIALLY high quality headphones. I have to adjust the volume every time I know I am about to get into a gunfight, and once it starts I have to pause and adjust volume again. It kills immersion rather than it being more immersive.
Not having an optional file for less loud gunshots was not a great idea. "Bro you just haven't fired a gun in real life" is not an excuse. You can have realistic gunshot sounds in a video game without them destroying the audio balance of the whole experience. Anyone who was mastered audio knows the difference.
Example? You can still hear the dialogue (and other audio like tires screeching, sirens, grunting, footsteps) during the downtown LA shootout in Heat. Which this audio is from.
It's a shame, cause like I said, the actual ambience and gunshots are great. Just not incorporated well.
yeah, like many others have said, I cannot pick up ammo from dropped guns, so far I have noticed this only with the Assasult rifle.
seems like an issue that has been happening for years. Fix?

this no longer works and has some of those worst mod instructions I have ever read
@Alex106 this is good but it needs much better instructions. Having Legacy, Enhanced, and Legacy AND Enhanced options in the installation files was very confusing. Still not sure what the last option is for, aside from adding DLC buildings? Optional? It's not explained at all.
You mention in the description that this adds custom mapping for the prison and zancudo, but they are missing from the map and you said in a comment here you can add them with a trainer. 0 explanation. What?
Hope you can clear this up, thanks
